S I N A

A loud crashing noise woke me up from out of my sleep instantly. If my heart could pop out of my chest and land in my lap, that's what would've happened. It was like the noise echoed off the walls in the house and just continued, like someone was running around just fucking everything up.

I tightened the silk scarf that was around my head and grabbed the cream colored silk robe that was thrown over the edge of my bed, sliding it on and tightening the material around my waists. I peaked through my curtains before doing much else, seeing that it was raining today, and that meant the nile would rise slightly.

It never flooded, but it rising only meant that the tides would be stronger. Slowly, I opened my bedroom door and peaked down the hall, seeing nothing. I huffed and followed where I heard the noise coming from: downstairs... specifically the kitchen.

I made my way down the steps after peaking over the banister, still hearing things drop to the floor. As soon as I heard glass shatter, I sprinted into the kitchen to see what was going on. Tip toeing around the mess of spices, glass, and silverware on the ground, I looked up and came face to face with Nyx, laying on my cabinets, looking at me. My eyes widened and I glared back at him.

"Why... the hell would you do something like this?" I put my hands on my hips. "Are you gonna clean all of this up? No, you cant." He had the same stale look on his face like he did yesterday, but his head cocked to the side. "Yes, you're in trouble! Did you think you'd do this and I'd be okay with it? You're a guest."

Another 'so what' look came back on his face, and I gave up. If someone was to walk past my window— which they never would, they'd probably think I'm crazy. Sinking my teeth into my lip, I opened the refrigerator, and grabbed a thick cut of red meat that was wrapped in butchers paper and twine. Taking it over to the table, I unwrapped it and smoothed out the paper, putting it on the floor. As always, all I did was look up, and I was making direct eye contact with the cat. "I'm assuming you're hungry... that's why you fucked up my kitchen. So, there. I'll feed the rest of you in a minute... but I feel like you're the asshole out of the others."
