Unable to Lie to you

Jogging away.

'So.' Josh walked abreast of Augustina, with a matching pace.

Augustina, humming a song, turned to him and tilted her head slightly. She raised her eyebrows and sort of gave Joshua a sign to continue with his questions.

Joshua's eyes seemed to dart towards Augustina's lips once but he refrained himself from thinking otherwise.

'So...' Joshua stretched the 'o'.

Augustina playfully rolled her eyes and said, 'You can ask me whatever you want to ask me, you know. I don't bite neither I scratch.'

Joshua looked at her while maintaining his pace with her.
'I know that, beautiful. But, I must ponder over my questions before inquiring about them. Your comfort level should be the topmost criterion. '

Augustina felt a warmth inside her heart. A very gentlemanly act.
'Now, shoot off your enquiry, Mr. Lawyer. '

Joshua stopped walking and glanced at her with a playful smirk. Augustina raised an eyebrow and reviewed her previous statement. A realisation struck her hard.
'Ewww..you pervert!! I meant something else!! ' she crinkled her nose while facepalming.

'Haha! I ain't a pervert but you are! Nonetheless, you look so pretty when you are all flustered.' Joshua used to admire her beauty since that meeting but she, in reality, will be so natural, he had not realised it earlier.

Augustina's cheeks turned red due to the sudden blood rush.

They both started walking. Rufus lingered beside Augustina while sniffing Joshua frequently. Joshua stared at her dog with adoration.

Green flag! I say it's a green flag!

'He is a cutie, isn't he? ' Augustina said rather than asked.
Joshua brought his stare back at Augustina and looked into her eyes. Her eyes were a beautiful amber. He smiled and said, 'Just like his owner. '

'Aish. Stop making me blush! ' Augustina swatted her hand on Joshua's bicep playfully. 'Woah. Dude, you got some muscles. ' Augustina bit her lips.

Joshua wiggled his eyebrows. 'My time in the gym is paying off then. '

'Now,  tell me about you. ' Joshua poked her forearm and internally gawked at how soft it actually was.

'Okay. Where to start from? I have quite a history. But, I'll try to brief it. ' Augustina carried away...

'I am a single child of my parents. While my father is an Indian, my mother is of British origin. So,  you can say that I have some Indian genes in me.  When they had divorced, I was of age 15, I had decided to live with my mother as my father had already found himself a girlfriend. Life was hard but Mom being a strong lady, we managed quite well. We struggled pretty much. Was it a struggle or not, I still question myself. It was just an act of survival and yes, we survived. I grew up. I learnt things that a child shouldn't have known at that time but maybe, I should be grateful for those nuggets of knowledge,' she smiled while further narrating.

' People say I was a gifted student but I say I just worked hard. I was one of the toppers at my school and I tried my best to keep my rank.

After my school, when it was time for my college,  I applied to Oxford University. Somehow, Lady luck smiled upon me and gave me the chance to get admitted with my most favourite subject: history. There, I had met him. James. It was abusive. Our relationship but anyway, he doesn't really matter anymore.

I did my P.Hd in History and got my dream job as an academician at Harvard.'

'So, this is me. ' Augustina finished her lecture.

'Woah. You said so many things in a minute or two. It proves you are a lecturer bit by bit. '
Augustina playfully glared at him with a light smirk plastered on her face.

'But you know... You lacked certain things in that briefing. '

She looked at Joshua with confusion. 'What? '

'You never tried to enjoy your life. Now, tell me how many friends did you have? How many times did you just relax? Your eyes tell a lot of things, beautiful. '

Joshua brushed a lock of Tina's hair with his fingers while he pulled her close to him..his face centimetres away from hers. He put a soft kiss on her lips.

Augustina couldn't believe what was happening. His lips felt so light and soft on hers. Josh slowly pulled back and said, 'You deserve a lot more than the whole world has given you so far, Augustina.'

Her name sounded heavenly from his lips. Augustina felt guilty as she had even moaned internally. He caressed her cheek with his thumb.

Augustina grabbed that finger lightly and pushed herself towards him putting a sweet kiss on Josh's plump lips. He felt ecstatic as her lips worked their magic on his.

Before the kisses could turn passionate, they stopped realising that they were in public.

Both of them observed that Rufus was watching them closely. He wagged his tail when Tina called him and glared at Josh with his cute sparkly eyes.

Tina and Josh laughed at the little one and walked back to their housing.

Not a bad kissing scene, I hope. I am jealous of Augustina. I didn't even have my first kiss yet!
