~ Present time ~ at the hospital
“I’M A WHAT?!” you asked in disbelief after Jungkook had just finished telling you what had happened earlier that day.
“And you’re saying that all of this happened because we’re MATES?!” you spoke out loud again not allowing him to answer your first question.
Somewhere in between Jungkook had let go of your hand and leaned back against his chair. He slowly leaned forward and looked at you with his big eyes and s
smiled softly as he said
“You’re an Alpha Y/n. Moments before you fainted your eyes flashed red. The reason for that is because we found each other. I don’t know if you’ve ever shifted to your wolf before but if this was your first time then that’s probably the reason why it was too overwhelming and caused you to pass out.”
You really thought this guy had lost his mind and for a minute there you couldn’t believe what was going on when you felt his hand hold yours again. Your eyes shot at your hands and then shot back up at him almost like you wanted him to let go but his eyes flashed the same amber color and before you knew it you felt a wave of feelings come over you again.
You hadn’t realized but your eyes flashed red once again and what happened next scared the life out of you. As soon as both your eyes flashed you felt something inside awaken.
Your eyes shot wide open as you felt all your senses heighten at the feel of his touch. You felt your nose twitch at different scents & your eye sight became even more clearer. Your stunned face turned towards the glass window where you could see the doctors and nurses going about their day but the crazy thing was that you could hear what they were saying even while the door was almost completely shut.
You were slightly scared at what was happening as the next second you felt a very low growl vibrate off your own chest.
Jungkook realized what was going on so he tried to help
“Y/n, just let me help you, I can make you feel better.” He said with concern.
You were so lost but you wanted to get over this feeling so you asked him
“How do I let you help me?” almost in tears
“Just let me in,….accept me with your heart.” He said as he held your hand tighter and looked at you with the most genuine expression of love on his face. You finally decided to take a deep breath and then just exhaled all your fearful thoughts as you looked at him and smiled gently as you accepted him with whatever strength you had left.
Your tears finally fell before Jungkook’s hand came up to your face and wiped them off. It was then you felt all the pain slowly dissipate and was replaced with nothing other than pure love for this man.
You couldn’t believe this but whatever it may be, you just knew you loved him and wanted to be beside him and protect him at all cost.
Y/n: “Can you tell me a little bit more about werewolves, like the basics.”
Jungkook: “Hmm let’s see, so we have ranks in our wolf packs, the highest being an alpha and the second one being a Beta, which is my rank, that’s why my eyes are amber and yours are red. Each wolf has a mate that we will come across in our lives. We won’t be able to separate from each other for long periods because it will cause us pain emotionally and mentally.”
Y/n: “So are you saying we’re supposed to always be with each other? Like live together?”
Jungkook: “Essentially yes but don’t worry I won’t ask you to do that right now. You can take your time. Just as long as I can come to you when I can.” He said with a gentle smile
“I can’t believe I actually love him.” you thought to yourself as you looked into his eyes without saying a single word.
“I love you too” you heard him say but, his lips never moved, causing your eyes to snap open.
He chuckled lightly at your confused face. He then looked at you again when you heard
“This is called a mind link. Wolf mates can talk to each other through our minds. We can hear each other’s thoughts and feel each other’s emotions and pain.”
“Whoa, this is amazing. So you will be able to hear all my thoughts?” you said in your mind
“Hehe, yeah, but only if you want me too. You can shut the link off and only let me in when we need to talk.” He replied.
The two of you kept talking through the mind link for a while before you guys heard someone walk in.
“Hey captain, hope we’re not interrupting anything?” Junho said as he walked in.
“Ahh no.” you said as you both moved away from each other.
“Come in” you said when you saw 2 more of your officers come in.
“Ohh Minho, oh and you too Yunsoo. What are you guys doing here?” you asked as you saw two of your junior officers walk in.
“Minho?!, you work for Captain Kim?” Jungkook said as he looked surprised
“Actually Captain Kim recruited me from the new batch of trainees.” Minho replied
“You know him?” you asked turning to Jungkook
“He’s my cousin, but more so an annoying little brother.” Jungkook said laughing
“Ahh hyuuuung, can you not embarrass me in front of the captain!” Minho whined
~ time skip ~
The boys were talking to each other in one corner of the room as Yunsoo sat next to you near your bed.
“So? when are you going to tell Minho you have a major crush on him” you whispered to her
“Oh my god Captain shhhhh. I haven’t told him yet so can you stoooppp.” Yunsoo whined as you laughed at her silently.
A nurse came in bringing some medicine and food.
“Hello Ms. Y/n. I hope you are feeling better. One of our nurses here, Nurse EunJin found out that you were the captain of our precinct here so she made some food for you to get better. Have some and then take this medicine after that. Later you can let one of your boys return the tray to the nurse’s station.”
“Oh thank you so much” you said already eating spoonsful of the delicious food.
~ an hour later ~
You were just getting your things and slowly making your way to the nurse’s station when Jungkook took your stuff out of your hands.
“I’ll drop you home. Meet me in my car after you go to the nurse’s station.”
You nod at him with a smile as you made your way to the nurse’s station.
“Hi, I’d like to return these please and also was wondering if I could meet a Nurse EunJin?” you asked as you peered over the counter.
The nurse looked over at you confused.
“I’m sorry ms. but there is no nurse here with that name.”
