chapter 14

jonah's pov
i'm sitting on the couch and enjoying my coffee. i notice my phone is buzzing so i take a look at it. it's a facetime call from my friends so i pick up. i was smiling when i see their faces bit next my smile disappears. y/n was crying.

'oh god what happened y/n?' i ask concernedly, 'what is it? is it regina? or is it corbyn? ugh they're dead!' i yell madly.

'no,' she replies, still sobbing, 'i-it's just me...'

she's tries to hold back the tears but she can't and is not able to say a word.

'corbyn told her regina forced him to date him.' daniel explains and takes a sip of his carton of apple juice.

'with what? a gun? ridiculous.' i say, getting even madder.

'she said if he doesn't she'll ruin y/n's life so he agreed.'

'so don't blame on him.' y/n cries, 'it's not his fault.'
'then why are you crying anyway? you can date him now.' zach is getting confused, 'he broke up with her and now he's all yours.'

'no i don't feel the same way now. what should i do now?' y/n's voice cracks.

'you don't want him? then dump him!' zach says with a little laugh as we all laugh.

'well... honestly, i don't know, just follow your heart.' jack tells her.

y/n's pov
since last night i'm upset again my friends decided to take me to a party tonight for me to relax. it's already 6 so i'm gonna clean myself up and change or i'll be late.

after i'm done i hear mom's calling me to go out and saying my friends are here. i say bye to mom before we go.

we walk into the party and see everyone's going crazy. zach runs to the food bar and starts eating all the cookies as jack goes to grab us some drinks. i thank him as i get it from him and i walk away. i walk around the big house of someone's and hear someone yells at me.

'hey hottie!'

it's dark and i can't see his face so i basically don't know who he is. i send him a smile and walk away cause i know he's probably some drunk guy and i don't wanna talk to him. then suddenly someone pushes me and pins me against the wall.

'you think i can't find you huh, y/n?' i look up at him and realize that's joseph. the air from his mouth smells alcoholic which makes me feel disgusted. i try to escape but i can't because he's way too strong. tears started rolling down my cheeks as he places wet kiss on my neck.

'go away you jerk! don't touch her!' someone from his back pulls him on the ground and punches him. after that he grabs my hand with his and runaway from the house.

it's corbyn.

'are you alright?' he asks worriedly.

i nod and blush. next i realize we're still holding hands so i intertwine our fingers together and get him by surprised.

all in a sudden all i'm feeling now is hunger so i suggest going to subway for some sandwiches. we talk and laugh just like before everything happened. after we have our dinner he walks me home.

i guess he's not that bad, still a sweetheart.

i thought i was clear that i hate him, but did something change now?

corbyn's pov
i facetime y/n when i get home as she told me to.
we talk like before and moments later she fell asleep. i take a screenshot of her adorable face and tell her goodnight then hung up.

i place my phone on the nightstand and lie on bed. i close my eyes and think about the moment y/n and i met and the good memories we made. things are all good yesterday, we were always smiling and messing around together, until regina came along and ruined everything.

but i guess, everything's going back to normal now, right?
