Catherine was sitting at its brand-new desk at the DPD, typing away on some paperwork. Captain Fowler had only assigned it to file paperwork so far. It was hoping that it would get a case soon, but this was just for the mission. It took a sip on its 'humans commoner coffee' that it discovered that it enjoyed once it had been hired. It wasn't android safe, no, but it still enjoyed the taste.

Soon enough, it got a notification in its email system on its computer that Connor-60 had emailed back!

Dear Catherine,

Cyberlife decommissioned you because you didn't get enough information about me in a single month? That's ridiculous! I know they are strict, but I guess they guess they became more strict ever since I became deviant. You have been away for a while, for a moment, I thought that you had given up. I don't remember what we were talking about either, it's been a month so it's been quite a while. But if Cyberlife wants to know anything about me, I will say that my functionality is 100% and that is all that they need to know. We can have casual discussions but if you want to chat, come to the fort like a normal android and not send emails. What do you mean by "keep" tabs on me? I will only trust you if Cyberlife isn't using you as an information gatherer. I'm sorry.

Sincerely,

Connor-60

As it read the email, it got so many questions. Why didn't it enjoy its emails? Wasn't it the fastest way the contact the other android when it wasn't in the fort? Catherine thought for a moment. Yes, perhaps it should come to the fort and write the emails as well. But not as consistent as much as it did. It would be only normal for Connor-60 to not trust it at the moment. It would need to prove itself to it.

As it thought of what to write, it closed its eyes, mindscape wandering of what would please the other android to hear. Catherine already knew the location of the fort, so this would be easy.

Dear #313-248-317-60,

Cyberlife only instructed me to get information from you, though I was not aware of the timeframe. If I had known how long I had, I would have pressured you more. If you mean by the definition of strict, Cyberlife has created new rules to increase their security since a couple years ago. I was recently informed by this by a technician. I will inform them of your functionality, but the rest of your diagnostic would help them if you don't mind sharing it. When I mean "keep tabs" on you, I mean by "carefully watch" you to learn what you are doing. Though it will not be as much as it was last time. I understand that you don't trust me right now, Connor-60. But I will come to the fort as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

#313-248-327-119

It sent the email, keeping the stoic expression on its face. "If it means to talk to it, I must do this." It thought to itself, as it finished its paperwork for the day, clocked out and walked out of the DPD. It brought up the location of the fort, and started to walk.
