Part 11

Third Person PoV
Lonnie walked to Adams dorm room trying to figure out what he wanted to ask her. Lonnie knocked and Adam answered the door.
"L-Lonnie? What're you doing here?" He asked
"(Y/N) told me you wanted to ask me something?" She replied
"I-oh yeah. I was wondering..." Adam sighed
"Would you like to be my date to cotillion?"
He finally said
Lonnie smiled and hugged him.
"Of course. I'd love to." Lonnie answered

~ Time Skip ~
Your PoV
Evie, Mal and I made our way to our dorm, we enter and Evie immediately hands us our dresses.
"Go get changed! I wanna see what you guys look like in them!" Evie screamed
I laughed
"Alright! Mal, you can go first." I suggested
She nodded and walked into the bathroom.
"So, you and Alice huh?" I wiggles my eyebrows
Evie blushed and looked away.
"I'm happy for you guys." I smile
Then Mal comes out of the bathroom. We stand up and admire our best friend. Evie speaks first.
"Mal you look like a princess." Evie told her
"Yeah... More like a queen." I gushed
Mal chuckled and twirled. Evie and I clapped.
"My turn!" I declared
I grabbed my dress and ran into the bathroom, then I heard four more voices. Someone knocked on the door, I opened it a little bit.
"What's up Evie?" I asked
"Jay, Carlos, Alice and Daisy are here." She replied
"Okay, I'll be out in one sec." I said
"Oh and Carlos wanted me to give you this." Evie handed me a small velvet box, I opened it and gasped. It was a beautiful locket that I saw in a shop one day.
"He remembered..." I whispered
"What's inside the locket?" Evie asked
It was a picture of Carlos and I, holding each other tightly laughing whilst he was kissing my forehead. I showed Evie.
"That reminds me of that one Ed Sheeran song."  Evie laughed
"I think it's called PhotoGraph."
"Oh yeah. It does."
I admired the locket remembering the lyrics from the song...

You can fit me inside the necklace you got when you were sixteen

I put the necklace on and looked at myself in the mirror. I took a deep breath and walked out into our bedroom, everyone turned their heads to look at me. I laughed and twirled, like Mal did, waiting on everyone's reactions.
"So? What'da think?" I questioned
"I could cry." Daisy said
"Like a Queen." Mal smiles
"Like my best friend." Alice murmured
"Stunning." Jay sighed
"Evie? Carlos? What about you guys?" I asked as they hadn't said anything
Evie started crying. I panicked
"What? Oh my gosh. It's bad o-okay. I'll change be right back!"
I stuttered and turned around then I felt a pair of arms around me. It was Evie.
"You are absolutely beautiful, (Y/N). I love you." Evie cried
"Stop. You're going to ruin my makeup." I joked
Evie laughed as I turned to Carlos.
"I'm so glad you're mine." He said
I blushed and kissed him.
"Alright alright." Jay laughed "If you keep on with that we'll be late."
Carlos and I pulled apart. Alice put her arm around Evie, Jay linked arms with Daisy (they were going as friends), Mal walked beside Evie and Carlos and I were holding hands. We made our way to the ship where the cotillion was being held.
"Hey has anyone seen Ben?" Mal asked
"Uhm no. Maybe he's just busy." I shrug
We finally arrived at the place, there is fairy lights all around the boat and a DJ booth.
"Woah! This place is amazing! I already love Auradon." Alice smiled
"You like it even more because Evie is here." Daisy winked
Alice and Evie blushed and walked away. Jay and Daisy went over to the food tables, Mal went to talk to Jane which left just me and Carlos alone.
"You look amazing, (Y/N)." Carlos whispered
"I could say the same about you handsome." I replied
Then came a slow dance song. Perfect by Ed Sheeran ft Beyoncé
"Let's have all the couples out on the dance floor!" The DJ announced
Carlos grabbed my hand and pulled me to the dance floor. In the distance I saw Jay dancing with Daisy, Alice with Evie and Adam and Lonnie dancing.
"I found a man stronger than anyone I know" I mimed
Carlos laughed and spun me around in the air.
"We are still kids but we're so in love, fighting against all odds." Carlos and I sang

~ Time Skip ~
The song finally finished. Carlos leaned down and kissed me softly.
"Let's go up before my parents moan at us." I laughed
We ran up the stairs where no one could see us. Carlos was fiddling with his fingers so I could see he was nervous.
"Hey hey hey. You'll do amazing, like always." I reassured him
Then the trumpets sounded.
"Presenting the future Sir Carlos!" Lumiere announced
Carlos walked out into the open and I heard everyone cheering and clapping.
"Princess (Y/N)!"
I walked out to the balcony and saw all eyes on me. I looked for Carlos and saw him in the crowd. I bit my lip and smiled.
"You work it girl." Lumiere whispered
I giggled

Two guards escorted me half way down the stairs before my father took over.
"You look beautiful, pumpkin." He said
"Oh, thank you dad." I smiled
Carlos walked over to us. My father gave us permission to walk away. Carlos grabbed both of my hands and walked down the rest of the stairs with me.
"Hi." I breathed out
"Hey, you're doing great. How are you feeling?" Carlos asked
"I should be asking you that." I replied
Carlos gave me a look
"Fine. I sorta feel like I'm gonna throw up." I managed to say
We made it to our friends just as Mal was coming out.
"Future Lady Mal."
"Woohoo! Go Mal!!" I yelled and clapped
She looked like a nervous wreck. Evie and I walked towards her.
"M'lady." I joked
Mal let out a small laugh
"It's gonna be okay. You both look amazing." Evie reassured us
We nod and head back down into the crowd.
"King Benjamin!"
Then my brother came out looking nervous and...guilty?
"Go get him." I whispered
Ben came down to meet us face to face
"Mal, I wish I had time to explain." He said

Then out came the one person I did not want to see...Uma.
