"As cheesy as it sounds, you really are the best person I've ever had in my life." You shook your head with a small scoff.

"You were there for me when I had no one. Literally no one." You licked your lips. "You would come over with pizza and pick movies for us to watch when you knew I was alone."

"You were there when I needed someone and I didn't even have to tell you." You smiled. "You'd hold me all night and I'm pretty sure you never slept because I'd fall asleep to you singing and wake up to you still singing."

"You would just let me cry." You swallowed thickly. "You never asked any questions. You were just there for me."

"And it pissed me off sometimes, y'know?" You scoffed lightly. "I always thought it was so unfair to have such a caring guy in my life, but to only have them as a friend." You shook your head.

"Sometimes I thought about it." You looked down. "How you would be as a boyfriend." You smiled to yourself at the small emotional support fantasy. "You'd be perfect."

"Care to explain?" He smiled, his hand reaching out to lift you chin so you were looking at him before it moved to push the stray hairs behind your ear.

"It's stupid." You shook your head, eyes moving to look back down.

Why did you have to bring this up while you were so close together?

"What if I said I didn't care?" He spoke up but you didn't bothering looking up.

Taking your silence as an okay, he continued.

"What if I told you that all those times I came over with pizza was to make sure that even when you were alone, you would know that you always had me." He spoke softly. "That I can read you like an open book. That I can tell when something's wrong, so that's why you never needed to tell me."

"That I'd just let you cry because I know how painful it is to talk about it." He licked his lips. "That all those nights you cried, I couldn't sleep because I was scared you'd wake up and need me."

"That I sang all night because it kept you calm." He smiled. "You know, you never once had nightmares when I sang to you." He chuckled.

"And what if I told you that I always wanted to be more than a friend?" He spoke softly, his hand coming up to cup your face pushing it slightly to make you look at him.

"I'd say you're lying." You whispered, the unfamiliar look in his eyes making you shy. "I'm not the kind of girl a person like you would go for.." You trailed off swallowing thickly from how his gaze changed.

"And what kind of girl would I go for?" He challenged.

"Someone who's the girly kind of pretty, and makes you happy." You pulled your face from his grip. "Someone who's confident and not shy."

"What if I told you shy girls were my type?" He smiled, grabbing your face with both hands this time, his grip firm as he made you look at him, his smile growing as he saw your cheeks turn red. "That seeing the girl I like get flustered because of me makes my heart race."

He moved one of his hands to grab yours and brought it to his chest, letting you feel the rapid beat for yourself.

"That being with you makes my heart race." He said softly, watching as your face only reddened at the confession. "So why don't you tell me what kind of boyfriend you think I'd be."

You were a quiet for a moment.

Was this really happening? Did he really just?

You swallowed whatever fear you had and took a deep breath.

"I always saw you as the caring type." You started, your eyes darting to his birthday tattoo so you didn't have to look at him. "Like those guys in the movies that would drop what they were doing if something happened."

"Maybe the kind of guy who would sing me to sleep, and wake me up softly. The kind that would be way too crack-heady when I'm sad." You laughed.

"Take me on cheesy dates. Like ice cream shops or some form of dish painting class just so we could clown each other after." You paused, as you felt yourself growing more embarrassed as you spoke. "Maybe the cliché and we'd bake something together just to end up in a food fight."

"We'd get couple mugs for sure, and it would totally be your idea." You stated matter-of-factly. "And maybe you'd talk me into couple outfits, and maybe I'd agree." You laughed lightly. "I'd steal your hoodies, and you'd let me. You'd never ask for them back, or if you saw them in my closet, you'd ignore it."

"Maybe jealous." You squinted.

"Very jealous." He corrected with a smile. "But carry on."

"Couple pictures?" You squinted again, but gave him no time to reply as you carried on. "Where we'd pose like idiots in the mirrors at the mall. Or we'd take pictures of each other, being way too extra about it."

"And lastly, you driving because boyfriends are supposed to drive." You said, finally looking back up at him, ten times more embarrassed by the way he kept staring at you.

"But you're cute when you drive." He started, his eyes never leaving yours. "You get little road rage and you sing along to like, every song that comes on. Granted it is your playlist, but you know way too many songs." He chuckled. "And you're right."

"I would sing you to sleep if you wanted, but I don't think I'd wake you up." He shook his head. "I'd let you sleep. Maybe get breakfast ready, or just wait until you wake up."

"I'd be your personal crackhead." He declared, his hand coming up to go over his heart. "I'd save all my crack for you." He swore.

"Cheesy dates are a must." He smiled. "I'd take you to ice cream shops just to put whipped cream on your face, and you'd get me back." He laughed. "But not without having to earn it. I put up a hell of a fight."

"And given we both suck at art, we would definitely go to some paint-a-whatever, but after clowning them, I would keep totally keep them." He smiled. "And me? In the kitchen? I'd get so bored, how could you not expect me to start a food fight?"

"I definitely want couple things, and you can't stop me." His smile grew. "Mugs, clothes, everything. I want everyone to know how cringily in love we are."

"And you wouldn't have to steal my hoodies." He said softly. "Maybe I'd leave them here, right where you can see them, and if I can't find it, I'll just buy another."

"Couple pictures are also a must." He declared. "I'll post them everywhere, and let everyone know you're mine." He smiled.

"And lastly, I would be the guy in the movies for you." He said seriously. "I always have." He paused. "I guess it just seemed more bestfriend-y at the time since we never had expressed any feelings." He sighed before grabbing your face again so you'd look at him, his eyes sincere as he smiled at you.

"But I would drop anything for you."
