Thursday at Glee club practice:
"OK, we have two days left in the week." Will stated. "Who wants to start things off today?" "I'll go Mr. Schue." Joe said. With that, Joe stood up and began to sing:
May the good Lord be with you down every road you roam.
And may sunshine and happiness surround you when you're far from home.
And my you grow to be proud, dignified and true.
And do unto others as you'd have done to you.
Be courageous and be brave.
And in my heart you'll always stay
Forever young. (Forever young)
Forever young. (Forever young)
May good fortune be with you, may your guiding light be strong,
Build a stairway to heaven with a prince or a vagabond.
And may you never love in vain.
And in my heart you will remain
Forever young. (Forever young)
Forever young. (Forever young)
Forever young. Forever young
And when you fin'lly fly away, I'll be hoping that I served you well.
For all the wisdom of a lifetime, no one can ever tell.
But whatever road you choose, I'm right behind you win or lose,
Forever young. (Forever young)
Forever young. (Forever young)
Forever young. Forever young
For forever young
The Glee club applauded Joe's performance. "Nice singing Joe." Will said. "OK, who wants to go next?" "May I sing Mr. Schue?" Kitty asked. "Sure." Will said. "Before I sing, I'd like to sing this to my fiance Marley Rose." Marley smiled warmly at Kitty. Kitty smiled back, and then she stood up and began to sing:
Have I told you lately that I love you?
Have I told you there's no one else above you?
Fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness
Ease my troubles, that's what you do
For the morning sun in all it's glory
Meets the day with hope and comfort too
You fill my life with laughter, somehow you make it better
Ease my troubles, that's what you do
There's a love less defined
And its yours and its mine
Like the sun
And at the end of the day
We should give thanks and pray
To the one, to the one
Have I told you lately that I love you?
Have I told you there's no one else above you?
Fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness
Ease my troubles, that's what you do
There's a love less defined
And its yours and its mine
Like the sun
And at the end of the day
We should give thanks and pray
To the one, to the one
Have I told you lately that I love you?
Have I told you there's no one else above you?
Fill my heart with gladness, take away all my sadness
Ease my troubles, that's what you do
Take away all my sadness, fill my life with gladness
Ease my troubles, that's, that's what you doThe Glee club applauded Kitty's performance. Marley came over and embraced her fiance. "I love you." She said. "I love you too." Kitty replied, hugging her back. "That was lovely Kitty." Will said. "Thanks Mr. Schue." Kitty said. "By the way, have you heard from Scott lately?" Will asked. "No." Kitty said, putting her head down and starting to sniffle. Marley wrapped her arms around her. "I'm sorry; Just know that we're here if you need someone to talk to." Will said reassuringly. "Thanks Mr. Schue." Kitty replied sadly. "Mr. Schue, may I sing something please?" Sugar said. "Sure." Will responded. "Before I begin, I'd like to dedicate this song to Scott. He said it was one of his favorites. Wherever he is, I hope he knows, there isn't a day where my heart doesn't find him." Sugar said sniffling a bit. She then stood up and began to sing:
Across the street the river runs
Down in the gutter life is slipping away
Let me still exist in another place
Running down under cover
Of a helicopter blade
The flames are getting higher
In effigy
Burning down the bridges of my memory
Love may still alive
Somewhere someday
Where they're downing only deer
A hundred steel towns away
Oh, rhythm of my heart
Is beating like a drum
With the words I love you
Rolling off my tongue
No never will I roam
For I know my place is home
Where the ocean meets the sky
I'll be sailing
Photographs and kerosene
Light up my darkness
Light it up
Light it up
I can still feel the touch
Of your thin blue jeans
Running down the alley
I've got my eyes all over you, baby
Oh, baby
Oh, the rhythm of my heart
Is beating like a drum
With the words I love you
Rolling off my tongue
No never will I roam
For I know my place is home
Where the ocean meets the sky
I'll be sailing
Oh, yeah
Oh, I've got lightning in my veins
Shifting like the handle
Of a slot machine
Love may still exist
In another place
I'm just yanking back the handle
No expression on my face
Oh, the rhythm of my heart
Is beating like a drum
With the words I love you
Rolling off my tongue
No never will I roam
For I know my place is home
Where the ocean meets the sky
I'll be sailing
Oh, the rhythm of my heart
Is beating like a drum
With the words I love you
Rolling off my tongue
No never will I roam
For I know my place is home
Where the ocean meets the sky
I'll be sailing
The rhythm of my heart
Is beating like a drum
With the words I love you rolling off my tongue
No never will I roam
For I know my place is home
Where the ocean meets the sky
I'll be sailing"The Glee club applauded Sugar's performance. Sugar was grateful, but then began to cry. "What's wrong Sugar?" Marley said. "I miss Scott." Sugar replied, crying. "Me too." Kitty said sobbing. "Me three." Marley said sadly. "Guys, I miss him as well, but he did say he would be back. Trust me, he'll be alright. I know it." Will said trying to reassure the three of them. With that, the bell rang. "OK guys, that's it for today. I'll see you tomorrow for the final day of the week." Will said. "Mr. Schue?" Marley asked. "What's up Marley?" Will replied. "I'd like to sing a song tomorrow, but I had a small request for it."
What is Marley's request? And where is Scott? He said he would be back, but when? And will it be in time for Nationals?
