If you meet him, may God forbid, but if you ever meet him, don't look into his eyes. He will consume you. He will burn your soul with nothing but a whisper.
"I've decided you're going to be my wife."
I drew all my strength and pushed him as hard as I could. He jumped out of the bed and looked down on me. I pushed myself on my elbow and stood infront of him.
"Are you mad?!" I shouted at him. "I don't even know your name!"
"My name is Alezzander," he held out his hand for a hand shake. "You?"
"Giselle," Maybe it's a habit of politeness or plain stupidity when I accepted his hand and said my name but heck, I immediately regretted it. Darn! I'm supposed to be angry at him. I tried to pull back my hand but he tightened his grip.
He smirked but didn't say anything. He watched me in amusement as I struggle to pull back my hand. I flushed in frustration. Darn! It's pissing me off.
"Let go of me!" I yelled.
"Not a chance,"
My eyes widened.
"You're mine," he said with finality.
"No one owns me," I protested and pulled my hand with all my strength but he just let go of me so I fell back on the bed.
He smirked. "Eat well. You've been unconscious for a while," he said before walking to the door.
"Hey wait," I tried to run after him but I fell back to the bed when I felt the pain on my leg. Darn!
I slowly opened the door and peaked outside. The huge hallway is empty. I slipped out of the room. I need to go home.
It is morning already and I haven't sleep well last night. I already changed my clothes from the one I got from the room's walk-in closet. They only have male garments though, so now I'm wearing an oversized shirt tucked on my oversized pants which I folded at the hem.
The room also has a huge bathroom with a bath tub. I was tempted to take a dip but I had to remind myself I can't be comfortable in here. Outside the window, I can see the endless sea of trees. I turned out to be in a huge castle amidst a sea of forest. I had no idea how could one exist in here.
Romeo, an old man with a white mustache who acts as the beast's all-around-servantslave, checked on me last night. Well, he just checked if I had eaten the food they brought me. I didn't eat anything though, even if they look really tasty. He never answered any of my questions. In fact, he never says anything at all. I only found out his name because it was embroidered in his tuxedo.
Fortunately, I never heard from Alezzander again. There's something about him that is clouding my mind. I think he has some kind of spell on him. I have to get away from him. He's obviously bad news.
...you're going to be my wife...
I shook my head and took a deep breath. I looked down on my bandaged foot. I'm feeling better now. It's still painful but I know I can manage to run if the circumstances call for it.
I continued following the endless hallway as I hunt for the stairs. I lost count of the rooms in this floor and I know there's still an upper floor. The hallways are lighted by led lights deliberately dimmed. I wonder where the electricity comes from. Even our town and most of the neighboring towns don't have a solar field.
I walked faster when I saw a balcony and... a chandelier?
I held the metal railing and looked around. I am at the balcony of a huge cylindrical hall. The chandelier which is slightly higher than the balcony is hanging from a domed glass ceiling. The clear blue sky is lighting the hall. From where I stand, I can fully see the intricate pattern painted on the tiled floor. The walls are made of bricks strengthened by time. This hall is obviously older than the other parts of this castle. Amazing.
