A/N: So, I'm back guys, in this chapter I'll be bringing you some Green's point of view. Hope you like it :D
[Green's POV]
It was a nice summer day, the wind was blowing my hair making it look like a little bit more spiky than usual.I couldn't help but let out a tiredness groan. Just had a kinda hard time battling against some really badass foreign trainers and only now, 1 P.M I was leaving the gym for lunch.
Approximately 2 years ago, when I went back to Pallet after losing to Red in Kanto's Pokémon League I was requested to be a leader in Viridian's gym. The same time Red went on another journey, travelling to Mt.Silver and sending me a generic letter talking about his new location and begging me to not search for him there. It did actually hurt me somehow and made me reflect about the way I used to treat Red.
We went for some serious crap together. And we were best friends 'till puberty came and I discovered Red wanted to achieve the same objective as me. I started to see him as rival and treat him like we were enemies.
But even sometimes being a dumbass with him, there was a line I never dared to cross. I don't even know why. Red never discovered my Raticate died of fatigue in the day we battled on S.S Anne.
When we met again inside Pokémon Tower in Lavender Town, I was just falling apart over my favorite Pokémon's grave but somehow, I could just hold back my tears, cross my arms and battle. I wonder if he heard my weeping that day.
It was kinda fun having someone to battle. Deep inside of me, I think I actually never stopped seing him as a friend. Fighting against him that day made me feel better. Even blaming him all the time outside, for my Raticate's death, my loss at Pokémon League...I knew it was my fault, not his.
Even though I never told Prof.Oak and Red how much that day hurt me, the laughing from the audience, the glances of disappointment, the delusion on my own grandfather's voice, they probably must know it.
Gramps started to be much present in my life from 1 year and half ago. He's been showing me a lot of his researchs and even included me on his plan to a study trip to Alola a few years from now.
Daisy, my older sister recently moved on an apartment with her fiancé here in Viridian, which made a lot easier for me to pay her a visit daytime and have lunch there sometimes. I could see her from afar, waiting for me along with Bill. I came closer, slowly approaching.
"So, how was your day, sis?" I looked at her smiling. It was still odd seeing my sister already engaged with someone, specially because her and Bill started dating when they were 15, my age nowadays, a few days after I returned home turning 13.
"It was great, but Bill's a little tired so we came here to invite you to lunch here around town with us". I nodded, Bill and I didn't get to talk too much to each other, the guy's kinda shy though, which reminds me of Red a little bit. But I followed them across the streets of Viridian, a little dizzy from the haze, until we reached a pokémon friendly restaurant specialized in pasta and Italian food.
There were a lot of pokémon trainers sitting on the restaurant tables with their pokémons sleeping or resting in their laps. Also, a pair of baby Eeves playing with each other at the entrance, which was a so cute scene that it was impossible to pass by without patting their heads and cherish them. Damn, I love Eeves.
We sat down on a table nearby entrance, I asked the waiter an orange juice while we waited for the food and when I took a sip, the shocking news came.
