Hajara POV:
"Hannah!" I whispered in shock, looking at my best friend standing in front of me.
"Hajara!" Hannah squealed in disbelief, her eyes widen with happiness. She clamped her hands over her mouth, mirroring my expression.
"Hannah?" Sarah asked looking confused. "Wait, you two already know each other?" She took a break from being a detective and removed her shades.
"Oh my! Is that Sarah, you've grown so much. Your also very pretty Mashallah!" Hannah pulled her cheeks like an older sister.
"Sorry, I don't quiet remember you." Sarah told her politely rubbing her red cheeks. "Anyways, what is with everyone these days, first my husband and then you." Me and Hannah both chuckled at her frustrated reaction.
"Hannah is my friend in school, back in America, remember? Seriously, you have memory issues Sarah." I rolled my eyes when Sarah gave me a confused look.
"Sarah's married? Oh my god, when did that happen?" Hannah asked hugging her. "Congrats girl."
"She got married with me in the same day." I told her.
"Wow, really and you failed to tell me that." Hannah shook her head in dissappointment.
"Well ... we were all busy. War is not the actual time to keep people updated on marriage life." I muttered uneasily. "Anyways Hannah, where's my hug?"
Hannah grined and engulfed me in a big hug, squeezing the life out of me. "You don't know how much I've missed you."
"When did you get married?" I asked, trying to breath in and out, instead of getting strangled in her hug.
"You know I got married? How did you know? Who told you?" Hannah asked me surprised.
"Girl, you're pregnant." I stated the obvious rolling my eyes.
"Long story." Hannah smiled, shooing the topic with a flick of her hand. "So basically, when we went to Afghanistan, Mom's friend's son proposed for my hand and yeah... we got married."
"What made you come here?" I asked curiously.
"Well.. obviously I came to look for you, and to my surprise I found you instantly. I was like to my husband, 'I don't even know where my friend lives' then came in my mood swings and I was crying. So he felt sympathetic for me and he brought me here. But you don't know how happy I am right now." Hannah squealed again, releasing everything all in one breath and jumping around in happiness.
"I know, me too." I hugged her again. "So is the baby... a girl or boy?"
"We're not sure yet. I mean we never went to the doctors yet for the gender!"
"Oh!"
As, the day flew by, we conversed together catching up on our few years of marriage life. I had managed to pick out some outfits for my son and daughter, and an unisex garment for Hannah's soon to be born child.
Maybe, today wasn't a total waste of a day.

Our shopping was done and we headed out. The breeze was calming, gently caressing my face making me want to close my eyes and stand their for few more minutes longer. Sarah had been quiet ever since my friends arrival, of course I knew that we were from different worlds; Sarah was more talkative, outgoing, free, courageous while I was calm, shy and hated attention. Hannah was my type, but I did notice some changes in Hannah. However, again we were kept apart for few years, seeing changes should be normal.
