Harry woke up in the hospital. His vision was blurry but at least he was able to move more. There was patches covering his chest. He felt really tired.

Hermione was sitting next to him reading a book. She looked over at him and smiled.

"Glad to see you're doing better."

"Where's Ron?"

"He's in the next room. He got really hurt too. They're trying to see if there isn't any permanent damage."

"Is he okay though?"

"I hope so. How are you feeling Harry?"

"How am i supposed to feel? My godfather is dead and my boyfriend tried to kill me."

"Draco?! He was there that night?"

"He's the one that attacked me. You were right Hermione. He's only bad news. I can't believe I ever trusted him."

"I can't believe he did it. He said he hated his dad. It makes no sense. Why would he do that?"

"If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't believe it. I trusted him and I'm so stupid. And I think about Sirius so much. I really hoped I'd wake up and he'd be the one sitting next to me. But he's dead. Sirius is dead." Harry said as tears rolled down his cheeks."

The following months had been hell. Harry left the Dursley's and found a home. It was small and cold but Harry didn't care.  Not the most heartwarming home would help fill the hole in his heart.

He went back to school but he wasn't the same. His grades were slipping and bad. His dream to become an Auror was just about gone. He would stop showing up to class and it had become really concerning. The only thing keeping him going was knowing he had people counting on him.

Dumbledore was worried the most about Harry. He would always take the time to talk to him and Harry didn't understand how but Dumbledore always knew what to say. Together they worked on finding the horcruxes together. So far they hadn't found anything but they kept looking.

Hermione always tried keeping Harry caught up with work but Harry wouldn't even look at all the books she'd get him for studying. Harry knew it was wrong to ignore a friend who was only trying to help but he really couldn't pull himself together.

Ron did what he does best and tried cheering him up. Just like Hermione he'd get ignored by Harry. Harry sometimes worried that they'd get tired of his nasty attitude. He didn't mean any harm by it. He was just in so much pain that he couldn't bring himself to care about anything anymore. It was sad but that's how he really felt.

Draco sat in his usual spot at the table talking to his friends. His father was incredibly proud of him. Draco would have been happier about everything but something was off. He didn't know what it was but he felt like he didn't belong here. The friends and people he'd surround himself with weren't what he had expected. These people were dangerous. Almost all of them were death eaters. So was Draco so he didn't understand why it felt so odd. Why he secretly was afraid of them and his father.

Either way Draco was kept busy. More and more followers started to join. Before he knew it, Voldemort had enough people for an army. Now that it wasn't kept a secret more people were joining.

He sat next to his dad at the death eater meeting. Voldemort was head of the table as always. Bellatrix sat next to him looking as insane as always.

Draco was tensed up. Maybe he'd be more relaxed if there wasn't a body floating in the air right above his head. He didn't understand why he felt this way. Stuff like this shouldn't have scared him.

Draco's POV
She's a traitor. She's a traitor.

He kept saying in his head trying to convince himself that this was okay. That it was right even though it felt so wrong in his heart.

"This woman was a teacher at Hogwarts. She believed that muggles weren't much different from us. That we should live among the same worlds."

Everyone at the table laughed. Draco didn't move his mouth. He looked at the woman who was frightened to death.

Voldemort raised his wand. The woman looked over to Snape who also sat at the table.

"Severus please." She begged

"AVADA KEDAVRA."

Her body slammed on the table.

"Muggles aren't the only weak ones. Wizards who believe in muggles are just as bad as muggles themselves. They deserve no mercy. That's why I have set a plan. Dumbledore is a powerful man who has for years let mudbloods and half bloods enter his school. I want all of them dead including Albus Dumbledore himself."

This set a break out in discussion. Everyone knew just exactly how powerful Dumbledore was. Trying to even confront him would be suicide.

"Settle down now. The plan is set. There is no opportunity for failure."

After the meeting had dismissed Draco walked into the hallway. He struggled to stay strong. He didn't know what was more traumatizing, the dead body on his table or the thought of having to do it himself.

Draco's POV
Whats wrong with me? I'm weak. I'm so weak. They deserve it. They deserve it.

He kept saying over and over again. He clenched his teeth trying to convince himself. Before he could keep thinking he heard voices come from the room next door. It was Voldemort and Snape.

"I need you to help me with something Severus."

"Anything my lord."

"Not that you haven't been a great follower but I still don't completely trust you."

"What must I do my lord? To show my loyalty to you?"

"Kill Albus Dumbledore."

"But my lord, it should be-"

"I need to know your not going to betray me. So are you with me or are you against me?"

"I'm with you."

"Excellent. Be ready then. You will always be known as the man who killed Albus Dumbledore."

Voldemort left and Snape quickly ran up stairs. Draco followed him making sure Snape wouldn't see him. He pulled out a piece of glass from his pocket. It was a small mirror and on the other side Dumbledores face appeared.

"What now?"

"You must do it Severus. There isn't any other way."

"Has it ever occurred to you that I do not want to do this? I can't. It was my fault Lily died. I can't take someone's else's life. I was stupid and arrogant the first time. I can't do it again."

"You must Severus. It's the only way he'll truly trust you."

"I won't do it."

"You promised you'd do anything to protect him. You promised yourself you'd do it for lily."

He stopped arguing.

".......I'll do it." He said tearing up.

That someone must have been really important to him to just be okay with murder. He put the piece of glass back into his pocket and started sobbing. He couldn't stop.

Draco's POV
You promised you'd protect him? Who's him? Who's lily?

Draco knew he should have run to his dad and told him everything but seeing Snape cry like that. Seeing him in a state he had never seen him before. So vulnerable. He just couldn't bring himself to do it. Whoever lily was, it was eating him up inside. It reminded Draco of his mother. So much was wiped from his memory but he always remembered the day his mother died. How he felt. How much his throat was burning. How heavy his tears felt. He understand Snapes pain.
