Harry was sitting alone at the Hogshead. He sat in a table next to the window and was often annoyed by how he couldn't find anywhere better to meet Draco. The hogshead wasn't exactly a romantic environment but it would have to do.
Harry sat patiently but at the same time was so anxious that he kept adjusting his hair every two minutes. He wondered if he had put on too much cologne or if what he was wearing was stupid.
Finally Draco came in and sat next to Harry. Harry smiled and waved and Draco did the same.
"Funny seeing you here." He laughed
"It's almost as if we planned this." Harry responded sarcastically.
They ordered their drinks and after a minute or two they came. Harry sipped his butter beer nervously making sure not to embarrass himself in front of Draco.
Harry's POV
I have to be an idiot to actually think that he likes me. Right? I mean look at him. He's so damn perfect and that fucking smile. Then there's the leather jacket. When the hell did he get a leather jacket? Is he trying to kill me? He's too cool for me. Im such a dorkDraco's POV
Why the fuck is Harry James Potter this fucking attractive. If his parents were still alive I would thank them for giving birth to him. Yes that sounds really fucking stupid but my god. I've never liked anyone so much. Could a decent guy actually like me? Harry is more than just decent though. He's Harry freaking Potter. Can you blame me for being a bit nervous?"So Harry, what are you planning to do after Hogwarts?"
"I uhhhhhh."
"Now I can see you weren't sorted in ravenclaw." He teased
"I mean I guess I've never thought about it. I've always seen Hogwarts as my home. I can't even start to imagine leaving."
"Yeah I know how you feel."
"How about you Draco?"
"I don't know either. I guess I've always wanted to work in the ministry of magic."
"That sounds interesting."
"Yeah but I don't know. Fourteen is way too young to be thinking about the future."
"Fourteen?"
"Oh yeah I got expelled from Durmstrang when I was eleven. So I got held back a year."
"Oh I never knew that."
"Yeah not everyone does."
"So what did you get expelled for?"
"Its embarrassing."
"What is it?"
"I was young and stupid but there was this guy, his name was Nathan. I had the hugest crush on him. Then we started dating but he wasn't exactly a good student. He would always get in trouble and do stupid shit. Then one day he really fucked up. He used an attack spell on one of the students. I don't know why he did it but that kid was sent to the hospital. When he woke up he didn't remember who had attacked him so I took the blame for him and got expelled."
"Merlin's beard."
"I know pathetic right? I should've known better."
"No I mean I think it's really brave."
"I think it's stupid. I never saw him again and in all these years he hasn't even bothered to send me a letter."
"Oh.....I'm sorry."
"It's not your fault. It thought me a lesson to be careful on who you trust."
"Well that's always important to know. Have you ever tried contacting him?"
"Yeah I've sent I don't know how many owls to him and nothing. Maybe he just thought I wasn't good enough for his ego."
"Even after what you did for him?"
"Not all people are good. Some don't care to watch others get hurt for them."
"Well I feel sorry for Nathan."
"Why?"
"He missed the chance to be with a great guy."
Draco started to blush immensely.
Draco's POV
HE DID NOT JUST SAY THAT.He laughed nervously.
"I uhhh thanks Harry."
Harry only smiled. He knew he wouldn't see Draco for a long time. Summer was just around the corner and he was sure as hell going to miss talking to him.
________________________________It was the last day of school. Everyone was so excited for summer to finally start. All finals had been done and students were packing to go home.
Harry had packed his stuff. He. He wasn't happy at all. He would've done anything to stay.
Meanwhile Draco was just the same. He packed his bag but didn't leave. Not yet. He wanted more time to be alone and away from home. Finally he sighed and moved his luggage to the train.
Harry sat in the cupboard with Ron and Hermione. Hermione was also sad to go home but excited to get started on her homework her teachers had left for her during the summer. Ron was pretty home sick so he looked happy.
The train started moving and off they went.
Draco was in his cupboard with Blaise and Pansy.
Draco's POV
I'm going to do it. I promised I wouldn't but I can't. I can't bare the thought of having to see him again. I bet he's not even waiting for me at the train station. I bet he's home drunk off his ass."Blaise can I stay with you?"
Blaise looked at Draco. He was a bit concerned. He had been doing the same thing for three years now but of course Blaise didn't mind having him stay over.
"Sure."
"Why not stay with me?" Suggested Pansy
"Would you have me towards the end of the summer?"
"Are you never going home?"
"Planning not to. At least not this summer."
"Of course. Your always welcome in my home Draco."
"Thank you Pansy."
"I really suggest you talk to your dad. It can't always be like this."
"Shut up Blaise. You don't know what it's like to be there with him."
Blaise sighed. He decided not to saying. He would only piss off Draco and it would lead nowhere.
________________________________The train stopped and all the students got off the train. As usual the Dursley's were waiting in the car outside so there was no one to greet Harry. Except for Mrs. Weasley of course who always greeted Harry with a smile when he arrived at Kings cross.
"I might be able to get you tickets to the World Cup this year. I'll be sure to send you an owl."
"Thanks Ron. Have a great summer."
"You too Harry."
They exchanged goodbyes and Ron was gone. Hermione had already left so now it was time for him to do the same.
