My eyes started to blur and I collapsed onto the floor, Emma rushes up to me and screamed “What happened? Oh my gods, Tessa are you okay?”

Still on the floor in pain, “Huh, you think?”

A couple of hours later, my legs were looking quite alright, the pain had subsided. I realised that Emma’s eyes hadn’t gone red like Zach’s, “Have you noticed anything strange about Zach lately?”

She eyed me carefully but shook her head. I know that I shouldn’t tell her, I mean, she hasn’t done anything wrong, yet, I just blurted everything out.

“Okay, you know how Sammy is my boyfriend and he’s in a different Zodiac? Well, Jupiter got really mad and he’s now slowly manipulating everyone I know, taking control of them. You have to be careful, first he got Eric and now he has Zach, look, I know you love him, but please, just stay away from him. Okay?” she doesn’t look at me but just nods, “Emma, I’m so sorry, you didn’t need to hear this. I just-”

She cuts me off, “Don’t worry, I think it’s best I know.” She gets up and leaves the room, the door slams shut behind. I shook my head, trying to clear the thoughts, I open my wardrobe, the only clothing that were in there was dresses. How can anyone go on a ‘quest’ to find The Library of Athena in a dress?  I walked down the hall to Emma’s room, I knock on the door and waited, Emma came out with tears streaked down her face. Still sobbing, “What do you want,” she wouldn’t meet my eyes, but she didn’t sound angry.

“Hey, I’m so sorry.” She nods, “Look, Sammy and I are going to look for the Library of Athena, the one that was built ages ago. So-”

“Tessa, you can’t go and search for the Library, the gods, they’re Roman. Athena is greek.”

“Jeez, racist much.” I muttered under my breath, she shoots me a glare and I shut up.

“If Jupiter finds out, he will surely kill you. You know how the Romans and the Greeks hate each other. If-”

“That’s my point. They hate each other, if I were to fight Jupiter, I’d be dead in less than ten seconds. But if I get the Greek gods to fight the Romans, then there is actually a chance that Jupiter could be defeated and-”

“Is this why you’re looking for the Library of Athena? Just so you could get a Greek god to fight him? I mean-”

“I’m looking for the Library because that library has everything that is possible in knowledge. I’m looking for a cure to Jupiter power, some way to reverse the spell he’s putting on people.” She looks at me, then nods, “This might be able help Zach, Emma? Look, anyways, I need comfortable clothing, something that isn’t dresses. Do you have any”

“If this is going to help Zach, then I can make some for you. When do you need it by?”

“By tomorrow morning. Is that enough time?”

“Yeah, plenty. I’ll take your measurements now.” She took my measurements in less than ten minutes, “Come to my room tomorrow morning and I’ll have them finished by then.” I thank her and walked out the door, once I got back to my room I had a couple of text from Sammy.

Sammy: We’re meeting tomorrow morning at the cave right?

Me: Yeah, bring comfortable clothing and heaps of food.

Sammy: Ok, bye.

Me: Bye

All the food that was in my room were a pack of opened crackers, a bowl of grape and five choc-chip cookies. Great, more sneaking around and illegal stuff to do, marvellous.

Luckily there was no one in the cafeteria, there was a roasted chicken on the stove. The desire to grab that chicken was over powering. I mean, the chef will probably wake up thinking hey, who took my chicken? So, I decided to grab a couple of bags of crackers, four apples, two loaf of bread and two bags of choc chip cookies.

I walked down to the city museum, I grabbed a bow, two quiver of arrows and a sword. At the back of the museum was a celestial bronze bow with imperial gold at the both ends of it, the edges were razor sharp. I grabbed it from the wall and it transformed into a celestial bronze sword, the blade lined with imperial gold, a leather grip and a gold hilt. I willed it to turn back into a bow, and it did. I felt something on my back. I reached my hand back and felt something cold, and think make contact with my fingers, I pulled it out. An arrow with a celestial bronze tip. I took the quiver of my back and tipped it upside down to count the arrows, but it wouldn’t come out. I pulled out an arrow and suddenly another one replaced it automatically. I tried it again, it too, was replaced. The bow tuned into a silver bracelet, the moment I touched it, it turned back into a bow. I went with the magical weapon-of course-and put the other one back.

By the time I got back to Aquarius, it was already dark. Two black t-shirts were lying on my bed and a note from Emma.

Tessa,

I hope they fit.

Be careful.

Love Emma

I didn’t even have time to change into my pyjamas before sleep got hold of me.

I stood in front of the library, a glowing figures loomed in front of me. She wore a Greek sleeveless dress and a war helmet, she had a spear in her hands and a shield in the other.

Athena.

“You have chosen a danger journey, my presence is only presented temporarily here in your dreams. I believe you are looking for my library.”

“Um, yes. Could you by any chance be able to tell me where it is?”

“I cannot tell you where it is, but I will tell you something. Travel to the lands beyond the gods. Go to Alaska. From there my daughter Annabeth Chase will guide you.”

Her image flickered. “Be careful Tessa Palmia. I believe in you.”

I jolt awake. It was five o’clock in the morning, I picked up my phone and called Sammy.

“Ugh, Tessa, what could you possibly want at this time. I packed everything last night so-”

“Look, I don’t care if you’re tired. Get up now and meet me at the cave. We’re going to Alaska.” I hung up and got changed into my clothes.

The cave was the same. Even in the cold morning, it felt warm. “Hey, Tess,” Sammy stood by the entrance of the cave with a sheathed sword hanging form his belt, “Should we go now?” I smiled and planted a kiss on his cheek as I walked to him. “Nice bracelet. Did you bring weapons?”

I laughed and told him to step back, “Watch.” I put my hand on the bracelet and full length bow appeared before my eyes, I smiled and took a bow. I watched his mouth hang opened and listened to him mutter things to himself. I turned around and showed him the quiver of arrows. “Do you like it?” He was still speechless, I laughed. “What? Jealous? Oh, and watch this.” I willed it to turn into a sword, I twirled it around my hand and turned it back into a bracelet.”

“H-how did you do that?”

“Magic. Come on, let’s go.”

I grabbed his arm and dragged him out of the cave. I thought back to Athena’s warnings, this wasn’t going to be easy, but we had to try. When we got to the edge of the city, I looked at Sammy and ran.
