the break? whatever they would call it was over. hongjoong and seonghwa have been a lot closer lately, cooking whenever they had the chance, talking, drinking coffee together, whatever you can think off. mingi and yunho? well, they're getting closer too.

their friendship continued to build throughout the rest of the semester. honestly, mingi thought he was not going to enjoy the first semester of college but thankfully he found people he could actually depend on.

mingi smiled at the phone like an idiot when he saw yunho begging him not to spoil the episode. in the span of a few months, yunho and mingi have been hanging out whether it was at the study hall at the school or the area where they had their first "date". he scrolled through his photos and saw the pics he took with the older boy. whether they were genuine or absolutely ridiculous, he couldn't help but blush.

i'm starting to like him way too much

as he was scrolling, he got another text message from yunho;

yunho [10:17pm]
i know it's late but
wanna come to my dorm

yunho [10:17pm]
my roommate isn't here and
we can watch the new episode together :)

mingi eyes widened as he read the text. he felt his heart beat fast and his throat dry as he re read the text; he had to make sure he wasn't losing his mind. he's never been to yunho's dorm nor has he came to his. this was an absolute different feeling. of course they stayed in the same room once at the vacation home but mingi felt as if this was a new feeling, a completely different situation.

where do you stay?

yunho told him the residence he lived in which was not that far but still quite a walk, especially in the dark. mingi made sure to tell the older that he was on his way after he took his shower.

finally, he was walking towards yunho's residence and listened to his recently new favorite song, are you gonna love me by teyana taylor; keeping one ear bud in and the other out to be aware. as he mouthed the words of the lyrics, he heard his name name get called.

"mingi..?" they called in a hesitant way. mingi turned around and stood in shock.

it was his ex boyfriend.

in his second year in high school, he came across this boy he was deeply in love with; or at least he thought so. he was just a year older but he treated him so right. he took him out and made sure to keep their relationship on the down low since mingi was too scared to come out back then.

then, he found out that he was nothing more than just an experiment to his ex; he just wanted to see if he liked men but realized early that he didn't but he continued to waste mingi's time; he didn't tell him.

he texted other females behind his back, even fucked them behind mingi's back. mingi found out accidentally as he over heard a girl talking about his 'boyfriend.' once mingi brought it up to him, his ex manipulated him to thinking that nobody was going to love him, only he could love mingi and nobody else could or will.

then, the boy transferred and thankfully mingi didn't have to see his face again.

and now...

"wow, it is you. i know those pretty eyes and lips anywhere," his ex stated. mingi changed his face and looked at the ex in pity; he was really still trying to woo mingi over.

"you've gotten so much prettier now. wow, look at your hair," the male stated, bringing his hand up to touch it but automatically mingi moved his head. "oh come on mingi, i know you miss me. i bet you haven't found anybody because of.. well you know." he smiled.

mingi still had his phone in his hand and it lit up with a text from yunho: 'you almost here?' the male looked at the contact and his whole demeanor changed.

"so you have found somebody huh? wonder if he actually loves you," he started. "..does he fuck you good?"

"i really suggest you leave me alone," mingi spit.

mingi was a baby back then, he didn't know how to handle himself. he was ignorant to the emotions he had and just couldn't handle it.

now, he was gonna get him back.

"poor baby mingi, you're still the same. why don't you come with me instead," he said, grabbing onto mingi's shoulder.

mingi punched him.

all the built up anger he had towards that man. he finally let it out. the male fell to the ground, crying out in pain and mingi turned back around and ran to yunho's dorm.

mingi texted yunho to let him know that he was there. the older male came downstairs to get the younger.

"thank god, i was starting to get worri—"

mingi hugged yunho tightly, catching the older off guard. yunho just smiled and returned the hug, comforting the princess in his arms.

bruh, i am so sorry y'all. so i kinda don't have an excuse except for writers block and me going to college! yes i'm now in college but now i'm around finals so i'm going to be having a little bit more free time. i'll try updating, i'll just say it's slow updates.
