Maps and Heroes

Chat's POV
I raced along the roof tops towards our meeting point for patrol. I couldn't wait to show Ladybug the progress I made, she'll be really pleased, hopefully. I landed soundlessly on the rooftop and I wondered over to the railing. I took in the beauty of the city once again. I think back to Emma and Louis who are right now camping out in my bedroom, I hope they're okay. They both looked so tired when they came in and I really wanted to do something to help them. It was that really weird feeling again like a part of me just urged to protect the 3 of them. That was the 2nd time it happened and I don't know whether it was good or bad. Due to my excellent hearing I heard Ladybug right behind me. I turned around to face her.

"Well hello M'lady," I say extending my stick while leaning on it.
"Hey kitty!" How I loved it when she called me that. "Do you have anything to report or you're just casually here on time for some reason."
"As a matter of fact I do have something to report," I reply winking at her.
"Okay then you better let the cat out of the bag." I stumble forward as I lose my grip on my stick, my cheeks flushing red.
"Y-you made a pun."
"I can make them from time to time if I want you know, but I don't do it in battle because there is a city we're meant to be saving," she replies flicking my bell. I was lost for words The Ladybug was flirting with me.
"What cat got your tongue?" I looked up to see her smirking at me and then I realised this was one of those tests she was doing. I gave her an annoyed glance and pouted.
"Ha ha very funny," I said sarcastically.

Ever since I played that prank on her, the day we also fought Reflekdoll she had been testing me to see if I could ever actually be serious. I was failing miserably at the start but now I have caught on her little funny acts she does, they're kinda cute actually. (Not sure if you remember in The Reflekdoll episode at the very start Ladybug complained about a prank that almost made her lucky charm fail)

"No a cat hasn't got my tongue I was just making sure you had finished so I can deliver my report, or was this meeting for nothing?" I reply straightening myself up.
"Well I have finished so fire away." she replied looking shocked at my answer.

"Well first of all would you maybe know the significance of these?" I ask taking out my baton phone and going through my photos. I'm glad we're in the 21st century because with this technology I can access photos and numbers that are on my phone through my baton, as long as I have my phone on me I can look through it. Plagg explained this to me after he was informed about the update, he also said that because it is magic the names on all my contacts are replaced by their phone number and all photos that include people are not available on my baton unless taken while I'm transformed. Plagg said it was to help keep our identities well hidden.

I showed her the photos I took of the map and clues. She read each clue and traced her fingers along the picture of the map and gasped.
"What? Is there something wrong?"
"They're looking for the guardian of the miraculous, if you follow these clues it will lead you straight to him, but what confuses me the most is that these clues are very subtle. They don't give away lots of information and the clues are in......" she paused
"Are in what?"
"My handwriting?" (I know your handwriting normally changes but this is just for the story)

Ladybug's POV
I didn't understand at all. Why would the clues be in my handwriting, why do they lead to Master Fu's house and why do Emma and Louis have it. Chat grabbed the clues and his eyes skimmed through the notes and his excellent eyesight found a quickly scrawled note in the corner, for emergencies only.

I knew what we had to do.
"Chat do you know where they stay?" I asked hoping he did because I certainly didn't.
"Yes I do but I think they'd prefer if I'd didn't say," he replied shuffling his feet.
"Okaaaay? Well can you please ask them why they have this, you know, well um as much as I don't like to say this but Louis and Emma could be Hawkmoth and Mayura," I asked him. I hated the thought of the theory, they seemed too kind but I had to find out. I mean the best villains are sometimes right under your nose.
"Of course M'lady." I eyed him with annoyance, he chuckled and said ' Au'revoir' before disappearing into the night.

Chat's POV
I was astonished at what Ladybug thought, it did make sense but I just couldn't imagine them being villains plus they were staying with me there was no way they could do any of that stuff, unless they knew my identity! As I jumped onto the roof just before my mansion I notice Louis and Emma sitting on the couch with an awake Hugo. Crap. How am I supposed to detransform? Emma looked up and saw me. I froze in my spot unsure what to do. I watched her wonder over to the side of the window taking a remote and pressing a button. My window swang open. How did she know how to do that?

"Chat it's freezing outside come in," she called out to me. I hesitate before leaping into the window. I glanced at my oversized tv which had Ultimate Mega Strike 3 on it.
"Sorry, Hugo woke up and wanted to play," Louis apologised. "I hope you don't mind Adrien. I froze to the spot staring at the two of them, I really didn't want to believe that they were Hawkmoth and Mayura maybe they saw me transform? I was about to ask how they knew when Emma hit Louis on the head with her shoe.

"Seriously, way to make life difficult."
"Emma you know it's easier if him and Ladybug know," he said rubbing his head.
"But what about what Mum said."
"She'll never know."
"She will when I tell her."
"Don't you dare!"

I look at the two bickering and my mind fills with loads of questions. I drop my transformation and walk over to them.
"How did you guys find out?"
"Oh we've know ever since we were born," Louis replied. I looked confused.
"Louis!"
"What I thought we were telling him the whole story?" He replied putting his hands up.
"Well now thanks to you we are," she huffed beckoning me to sit next to her.
I slowly sat down, placing my hand with my miraculous behind my back. The gesture didn't go unnoticed.
"You can trust us Adrien." Exactly what a villain would say, I thought.
