A Birthday To Remember

Adrien's POV
I opened my bedroom door letting Plagg out of my shirt pocket and I go over to my piano. Natalie normally came in round this time to make sure I was in my room especially after the Gorizilla and the Santa Claws incident. As if on cue Natalie knocked on my door.
"Come in."
"Good afternoon Adrien, your father has asked me to inform you that your Saturday photo shoot has been canceled and rescheduled to Monday next week as you wished. Don't forget that you also have to make an appearance at the Ladybug and Chat Noir tribute opening line on Sunday."
"Ok thanks Natalie," I replied hiding the smile that was threatening to cross my face. Finally I could go to the catch up like they did every Saturday, I decided to text Nino.

~ADRIEN~ Yo Dude I can finally come for ice cream on Saturday!
~NINO~ Awesome! I'll tell the girls
~NINO~ has added you to a new group chat named 'Adrien can come!!'

I smile at the messages and see that I hadn't added Marinette to my contacts. I tap on her number and replace it with MARI I'm sure Alya won't mind me stealing her nickname.

Marinette's POV
I was busy looking at my phone when I see that Nino had added me to a new group chat. I tap on the icon and I see that Adrien is able to come for ice cream on Saturday. Finally! I type back and continue putting the finishing touches on an outfit for Alya's birthday tomorrow. Seeing Alya's message I role my eyes and reply with whatever.

Time skip to the next day

I arrive at school way earlier than usual to set up for Alya's surprise. Ms Bustier knew I was coming earlier but she didn't expect to see me at 7:45 in the morning.
"Wow Marinette I didn't expect to see you this early!" Said Ms Bustier handing Marinette the paper bunting she was holding.
"Well I am the class representative and it would be really bad if I planned a whole surprise for my BFF and end up being late," I replied.
"Maybe you should have this kind of mindset everyday."
"Sorry Ms I'll try not to be late for the rest of the week."

Around 8:00 Nino came through the door along with Adrien and almost dropped their bags when they saw me.
"Dudette you're early!" Nino exclaimed putting his bag on the seat.
"Told you so."
Nino and Adrien helped put up the decorations around the classroom along with Ivan and Kim when they came. Rose, Jueleka and Mylene helped look out for Alya, Alix and Nathaniel stacked the presents, Max set up the video that Chat and I recorded, Chloe and Sabrina did nothing, though I knew Sabrina wanted to help, while I set up the cake. Just as we were about finished we heard Rose shout the signal.
"Look it's Ladybug!"
As Alya turned around camera ready I ran out the door to greet her, making sure it looked as if I'd run all the way from home, I didn't want her to find out her surprise just yet.
"Happy Birthday Alya," I said tackling her into a hug.
"OMG Mari you're on time!"
"Just for my BFF!"
We entered the classroom where...
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALYA!!!" Everyone shouted.
"Oh my gosh thank you so much guys!" Alya thanked.

All of a sudden Emma, Louis and Hugo ran through the door. They looked extremely tired yet were smiling.
"Happy birthday Alya," they said handing her a small and roughly wrapped gift. Everyone had a look of amazement. No one had told them it was Alya's birthday and we were even more surprised when she opened it. It was a simple necklace with a camera and ladybug on the chain with the letter A engraved into a heart pendant, it looked really expensive.
"Guys you didn't have to get me anything and anyway how did you know?"
"Oh um...we uh heard about it uh around the....um school," Louis stuttered clearly not prepared for the question.
"They probably stole it, those street kids would have never had enough money if they can't afford to send Hugo to a proper school, they probably stole those designer clothes too they look like a Gabriel design," Chloe teased.
"Chloe that's enough."
"Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!"
Wait! Did I hear right, Chloe said designer clothes my clothes are practically the same! And Gabriel design? I follow every line of fashion that he had produced, I hadn't seen anything like it, though for once Chloe was right it did look slightly Agreste though not the type I'd expect from Gabriel more from..............................Adrien.

Time backtrack to The morning of Alya's birthday party
Emma's POV
I woke up awkwardly in the alleyway we had chosen to camp in. I was tired and my neck really hurt. Tagg slowly rose from the pile of old newspaper he decided to sleep on.
"Ugh my head hurts." He complains flying into my purse and pulling out some almonds I looked at the time on my phone which I had brought from the future. 8:25am.
"Louis! Louis! Wake up we're late!" I shout at him. Louis jolted up and woke up Hugo. Within 2 minutes we were racing down the street. I check my phone again and this time I see the date.
"No way!" I say stopping.
"What Emmy? What's wrong?" Hugo says.
"It's Alya's birthday just like in the future, I didn't realise we had gone back exactly 20 years."
"Auntie Alya's b'day Hooray we need to get her a present!" Cheered Hugo smiling. I knew he wouldn't let us go see Alya without a present so I quickly fumble with my purse in which Tagg stays and I take out a necklace.
"Em isn't that the necklace mum got Auntie Alya for her birthday, in the future?"
"Yeah mum said I could wrap it but then Lady Butterfly struck so I put it in my purse 👛 ."
"What a coincidence." Louis said taking the necklace from me and wrapping it in some newspaper that was in his backpack.
"Let's go."
