Hope Is All We Have

I'll put PAST before each character's name when talking about their past self and FUTURE before each character's name when talking about their future self.
Future Adrien POV
I put down the phone and stared over at my wife. She had been asleep for 2 days straight but Emma and Louis didn't need to know that.
"Was that Emma?" Asked Alya who was sitting next to the asleep Marinette playing with her hair.
"Yeah."
"Why didn't you tell them the truth Adrien?" Asked Nino.
"I just don't want them to get in this mess, I sent them to my old house where hopefully they'll try sneak in and get locked inside, away from all this craziness," I replied.
"Those kids are smart plus it is our younger selves with them so I'm sure they won't give up Adrien."
"Well at least it'll give us time to defeat Rubi before they arrive, Dad's security is very good around there, they'll be caught as intruders and won't be able to escape."
"You do realise your younger self is there and he knows the security."
"Uh..I'didn't think of that."
"And Mari's there too and you know how smart she is."
"Next time you do the talking then Alya."
"If only Mari was awake." Said Nino.
"What happened to her anyway?" asked Alya.
"Well you guys came to help fight, Lady Butterfly took Alya's miraculous, akumatised you then after Mari de-evilized your akuma she was knocked out and we were brought here, couple days later she took Mari for interrogation or something and when she came back Mari was not herself." I explained.
"What do you mean?"
"She was sneezing and coughing which is very unlike Mari who rarely gets sick and then she just fell asleep."
"And that's when we joined you in this bunker." Added Nino.
"Yep."
"You know having the other's help would be much better."
"I know but I don't want them to be in danger."
"Aren't they in danger every time the help fight akumas with you?"
"I guess."
"Just trust them Adrien."
"I guess hope is all we have."

Past Ladybug's POV
I thought it was a bit weird when the future Adrien said that Rubi was keeping them captive in the Agreste Mansion. I just didn't think it made sense to keep someone captive in their old house.
"Hey guys wait up."
"What?" They all Asked.
"Don't you think it's weird that the be held captive in Adrien's old house I mean wouldn't he know the security and how it works so he could easily trap Rubi and escape."
"I actually never thought of that," replied Chat Noir.
"Emma can you track your dad?"
"Unfortunately I can't, see we're not part of the same miracle box."
I thought for a moment before takingout my yoyo phone and dialed Chat Noir.
"Why you ringing me M'lady?"
"Look as soon as I hang up I can go into logs, click on the caller and see the location why don't you try that Emma?"
Emma looked back at her phone and clicked on her recent calls, She clicked on 😺ChatNoir😺 and looked at the location of her last call.
"It shows that he called from the Eiffel Tower."
"But that's split in half," replied Louis.
I thought again, I thought back to when I was studying with Adrien when I remembered question 7.
"I know where she is." And with that I started swinging towards the Eiffel Tower.

We arrived at the base of the Eiffel tower's South pillar, skipped past the unconscious security guards and into the military base. I knew that was where she was keeping everyone, it just made sense. I put my fingers to my lips making sure everyone was quiet, then we all charged through the door to find...

All of them huddling together with, me asleep?
"I told you they were smart Agreste," said Future Alya as she wondered over to us.
"Woah," Past Nino said as a light blush appeared on his cheeks.
"You guys can all detransform," said future Adrien.
They then all detransformed.
"Seriously Dad! Why did you send us to the old house."
"You'd be safer in lock down than here."
"Well you need our help! We didn't go into the past, reveal their identities, accidentally leave Hugo, fight Rubi and come here all for nothing,"
"True," replied Future Adrien who felt defeated. "Well I guess we're gonna need to plan right."
"Yep."
"What have you been doing here anyway?"
"Trying to get escape, our Kwami's haven't eaten in days so that's why we couldn't get out, in fact we haven't eaten in days either," replied future Nino.
Past Adrien looked down at the small package that was in his backpack.
"Do you guys want some of these," Asked Adrien pulling out a giant paper bag full of croissants.
"So that's why you took so long, did you steal that?!" I said.
"I was going to pay you back I swear, I just you know thought everyone might need to recharge their batteries at some point and..........I haven't had a croissant in months so yeah I was planning to eat like 5 but anyway." Adrien rambled avoiding eye contact with me. It seemed that we had now switched roles, as I became more confident around him Adrien had become a stuttering mess. I laughed at the thought.

Everyone took a croissant each and munched on one, while discussing the plan.
"So what really happened to mum?" Asked Louis.
"I don't exactly know, she went in for questioning with Rubi and came back with a cold, few days later she's asleep and has been for 2 days, Tikki has been trying to revive her but she needs to know where the source is and none of us has a clue, plus even Tikki's feeling a bit under the weather."
"It may be risky but what if I stay here and my Tikki can help your Tikki, I mean 2 are better than one right." I said.
"But it's too..." I cut Future Adrien off.
"Risky, dangerous? I've seen it all just trust me," Past Marinette replied confidently.
"Okay then, So Marinette will stay and join us once they manage to wake our Marinette, and we'll all go fight." Recited Future Alya.
"Correct."

Future Adrien's POV
I checked my phone to see that it was 7:56pm.
"Uh Guys Rubi normally checks on us every hour so we kinda have 4 minutes to position ourselves."
Everyone looked at me annoyed.
"Classic dad, always telling us things way to late and expect us to be ready." Said Emma.
We all positioned ourselves as the Marinettes and Future Alya safely hid behind a bunker, Past Nino had his shield ready just in case Rubi attacked them while his future self stood at the doorway protecting the others.

All of a sudden Rubi walked in seeing the heroes transformed and ready.
"It's over Rubi," said Future Rena Rouge.
"You really think you can stop me? Don't think I didn't know your younger selves are here, didn't even bother looking for me after I sent out the illusion? Silly kids I'm always 3 steps ahead."
"Why are you doing this? What's your purpose?"
"I want to kill everyone who has ever wronged me, starting with the Agrestes! Marinette stole you from me so it's only best if I get her out of the way plus your kids because you can never have a connection back, I'll kill you because you chose her over me and I'll kill the others because I can have no experienced miraculous holders. Without Ladybug there is no guardian meaning that it goes to the next generation but if they're gone, well it would disappear forever."

I started to realise her plan, I know she wouldn't kill us otherwise she would've done it already. She wanted to rule the universe, using all the miraculous's, she wanted to cause chaos but in order to do that she had to have Marinette give her the miracle box willingly. I hoped she didn't, we really didn't need her loosing her memory at a time like this, but what if she did? She had slightly different symptoms to Master Fu, but she has been asleep for 2 days and if Tikki couldn't find the problem then maybe, just maybe she gave in.
