What I Learned From You

"Fuutarou!" Itsuki said. She was at the living room, watching a documentary. It was Sunday, a day where she can finally take a break from teaching and spend some time with her husband, Fuutarou Uesugi.

But after five minutes of not responding, she got irritated. "ANATA!!!" She shouted, hoping this would make her dear husband show up.

Soon, Fuutarou showed up, as she hoped to. He was yawning, and still sleepy.

"Itsuki, what do you want?" Fuutarou asked. He was tired, tired of tutoring their daughters. Well, their daughters are smart to begin with, but Fuutarou wanted to teach them and never let them slack off.

"Do you forgetting something?" Itsuki asked. She was not in the mood for being sweet, nor being patient. Today was a special day after all.

Fuutarou groaned. He knew that this side of her is a pain in the ass, as all of his surprises for her will fade as he needs to tell her the special day.

Today is May 6, that means it's Itsuki's birthday. She is a Quintuplet, along with her sisters, but she was born right as midnight strikes. "Geez Itsuki, all of my surprises for you for our anniversary are now up in flames."

Yes, May 6 is also their anniversary, their Wedding Anniversary to be exact. Itsuki smiled, as Fuutarou didn't forget. But for our stoic boy, this was the worst. He was planning to forget that May 6 is a special day, so he could prepare his surprises.

Sadly, Itsuki was in no mood for surprises.

"ANATA!! You don't need to prepare something big. Because you and our daughters are the best gift I could ask for." Itsuki said, as she smiled at her husband. She's now 40 years old, and this is their 18th anniversary, and being with him is a blessing.

Fuutarou wanted to scold her, as he wanted to treat her well in this special day. But he smiled, as he realized this woman is a very stubborn one.

Soon, he approached his wife and gave her a kiss on the lips. "Happy 40th birthday, Anata. And also, today is our 18th anniversary." He said after the kiss. He may met her by chance, but he was happy that he chose her to be his wife.

Itsuki then hugged him. She was happy that they're married for 18 years. She knew she is the last Quint that fell in love with him, but she was the first Quint to meet him when they transferred schools.

Their relationship is quite an interesting one. Unlike Ichika, who's pretty cool with him but ended up falling in love with him and went overboard. Nino, who loathed him at first but once she fell in love with him, she's like a train that couldn't be stopped. Miku, who fell in love with him after he studied about Japanese History, and soon molded herself to be the ideal wife for him. Or Yotsuba, who accepted him first, but she was the first to fall in love with him when they were young. Itsuki met Fuutarou at the cafeteria, where she taught he could help her study, as she saw his test. But she didn't like him because of his rudeness. But over time, knowing him more and spending a lot of time with him, she soon fell in love with him, but she didn't noticed at first.

Why? Because she was scared, scared that Fuutarou might be the same as Mudou, their biological father, that left their mother once she is pregnant. She feared that Fuutarou might leave her if she became attached to him. But soon, he showed that he's not like Mudou. He's stubborn, dense, stoic, weird, cold, and only agrees to tutor them because of money. But after spending time with them, he values them. He swore that all of them will pass with flying colors, with or without the payment, immediately.
