A New Starting Line

December 31, the day before New Year's, where everyone desires to change. But one girl didn't want to change, as she still clings onto the past.

"Guys, have you seen Nino? I couldn't find her." One Yotsuba Nakano asked. She's with her sisters and classmates to celebrate the New Year's after ten years since they graduated, but Nino Nakano is nowhere to be found. The Nakano's invited all of their classmates in Ichika's house.

"I don't know Yotsuba, I'm just here eating the food. You should ask Miku, as they're close." Itsuki said. She was alone eating all  the food. She's alone because she want's to eat before the New Year's, as she promise to herself once the New Year comes, she will go on a diet.

"I see, thanks!!! And also, tell to Soma-san that he needs to keep you in check and send my regards!!!!" Yotsuba shouted, as it made Itsuki blushed. Itsuki is married to Soma Yukihira, a famous chef that became a trailbazer in the culinary industry. They're married for 5 years now. "Sure!!" Itsuki replied. Yotsuba is her closest Quint, and once Yotsuba found out that she is getting married, she was the first to congratulate her.

Soon, Yotsuba went on to find Miku Nakano, who is with Takebayashi. Takebayashi joined with them because she is close to Fuutarou Uesugi.

"Yo Miku and Takebayashi!!! Did you saw Nino?" Yotsuba asked, as she aproached the two. The two were just having a chat.

"I don't know. Better ask Ichika, she said she's with Nino earlier." Miku replied. "Yeah, but it's weird considering that only an hour left before 2030 comes. I'm happy that I spend most of 2020's with you Miku." Takebayashi added, as she kissed Miku on the lips. Miku just smiled and gave Takebayashi a hug.

"Okay guys, see you later. I gotta find Nino. And hope you guys will have a great 2030!!!" Yotsuba shouted, and waved at the two. Miku and Takebayashi started dating a year after graduation. After the School Festival, the two met frequently, until Miku finally confessed her feelings for Takebayashi. The two are now happy together, and adopted their onlt daughter, Kokoro Nakano.

Yotsuba then searched for Ichika Nakano, which she found on the balcony. Even though she's the host, she didn't engage in any conversation with someone.

"Ichika!!!" Yotsuba yelled to grab Ichika's attetion. "Ohh Yotsuba, hi!!!" Ichika responded.

"What are you doing here? And did you saw Nino?" Yotsuba asked.

"I'm here because I don't feel that I'll be comfortable talking to others, and Nino's over my room. I don't know why she wanted to stay there, but if you ask me, she doesn't want to celebrate the New Year's, as the star of the show is not here." Ichika said, while she frowns.

"You're right, but we need to move on. Anyway, thanks for telling me, and also, I hope you will be more successful!!!" Yotsuba said, and waved at Ichika. Ichika became a popular actress, who had multiple films nominated at Oscars. She won Best Actress multiple times already. But she's still single, because...

"Nino!!!" Yotsuba yelled. She's in front of Ichika's room, where Nino resides. She knocked multiple times, but no response. "Nino, please open the door. It's me, Yotsuba." She said. After a few minutes, Nino finally opened the door, revealing a Nino that has a teary eye, and hugging a particular polo.

"You looked ugly." Yotsuba responded. "You're the last person I want to here that." Nino replied. Yotsuba then entered the room, as sat on the bed. Yotsuba then started to talk.

"Why you don't want to go outside?" She asked. She wondered why Nino, for all these years, didn't tried to find joy in life. "I just don't wanna go out. He's not here anyway, so why I should bother?" Nino responded. Fuutarou is not here, but no one, except a few, knows why.
