While I was writing the novel, I couldn't help but think of songs that would be associated with how characters are feeling, and the bonds between them. The following is a list I compiled on iTunes while chapter 20 was in production.

I Am Machine by Three Days Grace

Pretty self-explanatory. This song describes how little Rebecca feels in her life, after losing her mother and the love of her life, and later on Kelly and Jacinta.

Superheroes by The Script

I had this song in mind for the end of the movie (if there was ever to be one). Basically explains how Rebecca's and Cameron's experiences change them throughout the course of the book.

Mirage by Ricki-Lee

Rebecca sees Megan when she is on the edge of death, but no one else does. She later discovers that Megan was just a mirage; a figment of her imagination.

Amnesia by 5 Seconds of Summer

Although this song is about a break-up between a guy and girl, this is how Rebecca feels since Megan's death. She wishes she could wake up with amnesia, and forget the pain of losing her lover.

Carried by KT Tunstall

This is one of my all time favourite songs, and perfectly describes life itself. We all need to be carried, even Rebecca.

Wish You Were Here by Delta Goodrem

Rebecca wishes Megan was still here.

Clocks by Coldplay

This song was playing in my mind when Rebecca and Megan share their first kiss in Military Minds. The gentle pianos and guitars add atmosphere to the moment, which one of the major milestones in the story itself.

Angel by The Corrs

Rebecca sees Megan as a spirit in her room from time-to-time, and feels blessed to have Megan as her angel.

Back in Your Face by Def Leppard

A bit of a rebelious song, this one describes Rowena's vengeance for Rebecca. She knows as well as Rebecca does that this isn't over.

Beating like a Drum by Eskimo Joe

This song carries a bit of a war theme to it, and would be perfect for the scenes between Rebecca and Rowena when they are fighting at the campus site.

Hero by Evermore

This song describes how Rebecca looks at her father. He has and always will be her hero.

At Your Side by The Corrs

Another great Corrs song, this one goes from Cameron to Rebecca.

I would like to thank all of you, my readers, for making this story what it is. Without your reads, votes and comments, this story would just be another pile of failure xD kidding, but seriously, I am grateful for everyone who has taken the time to read this book, and some of my other novels on Wattpad.

Until next time.

Sarah.
