Isabella took out the ice blue backpack that Max had given her that morning along with a purple keyring that had her name written on it fancily. She had no idea why he had even given her a backpack as she never left the castle.But now that she was running away she'd need it.

Anyways she needed to start packing or else she'd be caught before even leaving her room.She took out one pair of pajamas. Her favourite dress a knee length denim dress with a thin sparkly back belt paired with black leggings. Then she took out her tiara which was something that she loved.She then wore her charm bracelet that her mother had given her when she was younger and her locket shaped in a heart.It had belonged to great-great-great-great-great grandmother and had been passed down through her fathers family and was hers when she was born.And then as an after thought she grabbed two of her favourite books and stuffed it into the bottom of the bag.

Now she needed food.She rang the bell that always sumones the cook or one of the helpers to her.After about two minutes there was a dainty knock at her

"Come in"Isabella called out.

"Hello Isabella "a tiny red beaded girl said skipping into the room.

" Hey Lila"Isabella said smiling at her.Lila was the 10 year old daughter of the head cook and sometimes when she didn't have school she came with to the palace.Technically Lila wasn't supposed to know that Isabella was the Princess but Isabella had begged the Queen to tell her and finally out of irritation the Queen agreed.

"Soo...did you need something?" Lila asked bouncing on her toes extremely active that day.

"Yes I did,but I can only tell you if you promise not to tell anyone" Isabella said sternly.

"Oooooh what?I promise I won't tell anyone" Lila said a mischievous look on her face.

"Well today I'm finally going to leave this palace and go and explore the world" Isabella said.

"Yayyy!!!" Lila squealed and started jumping up and down clapping her hands."And what can I do for you?"she asked.

"Well I'm going to news some food could you get that for me?" Isabella asked hopefully.

"Yup no problemo,anything else?" Lila asked.

"No I don't think so" Isabella said frowning"Oh wait yeah...you good at pranks right?"she asked.

"Yup,I'm the Prank Queen at school" Lila said her voice showing her pride.

"Well then could you help me with a prank on Max?" Isabella asked smiling.

"On Max?,duhhh you don't need to ask me twice" Lila said.

"Awesome thanks" Isabella said grinning at Lila.

"Umm...may I ask you why you are carrying a sword with you,you never do that" Olivia said looking at Max wierdly.

"Well if we escaping we are going to need weapons, which reminds me.Here." Max said handing Olivia a dagger."You can tuck it in your belt when you change into the clothes I had you sew"he added.

"And why exactly do I need this" Olivia said holding it as if it had germs on it .

"Example if we were attacked what would you do?what would you use to protect yourself" Max questioned.

"Uhh...nothing to both those questions because we will not get attaked and nothing bad will happen" she said rolling her eyes."besides this Kingdom is perfectly safe"

"1.We are going to be going beyond this Kingdom.
2.What if we see some vicious animal that wants to kill us" Max said.

Olivia snorted "Vicious animal? Like what?"

"Uh...umm..." Max wrecked his brains for a clever answer but non came.

"Exactly nothing to be afraid of Maxy" Olivia said.

"Do not call me that" Max growled."And we do need it.What if we get attacked by dragons" Max said matter of factly.

"Oh...uh on second thought will keep the dagger" Olivia said turning around.

"Where is Isabella she should be here by now" Max asked getting worried.He and Olivia were now waiting in the Rose garden by the entrance/exit to the secret passage but so far she hadn't shown up.

"You know what I just realized?" Olivia asked Max.

"What?" Max asked impatiently.

"We never actually asked Isabella if she was leaving we just saw her looking determined and assumed she was leaving for all we know she could be looking determined because she wanted to be the perfect Princess at the ball"she said.

"Good point, we should go see where she is" Max said opening the doorway to the secret passage.

As Max walked he couldn't help but feel like something weird was going to happen. Plus the passage was extra quiet with no echoing of their footsteps or hearing the workers on the other side of the wall talking.It was just too quiet even with all of Olivia's complaining. Suddenly Olivia screamed.She had been walking a little in front of him lost in her own thoughts.

"What is it Olivia " Max said rushing to her all his Bodyguard instincts taking over.But as soon as he said those words he saw the dark red puddle on the floor. Blood.was his first thought.

"W-what is t-that" Olivia stammered going pale.

"I don't know" Max said bending down and tentatively touching it.

"Eeeew why are you touching that?" she squealed"what if its blood"

"Its not blood its a weird slimy thingy" Max said picking it up and letting it dangle between his finger's.

"Aaaaargh" Olivia shivered involuntarily "come onets just go" she said walking forward.

After that they walked in silence right until they came to the place where the secret passage opened up into Isabella's room.

But right there in front of the door lay Isabella face down wearing a light pink dress,her hair looking notty and messy.And there was blood on the floor that looked like it was coming from her head.
