𝑊𝒉𝑒𝑛 𝑊𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝐼 𝑅𝑒𝑡𝑢𝑟𝑛? ─── AN ORIGINAL STORY [abandoned]

Chapter 12

After what felt like hours of being twirled around and round and round in circles. All four of them were then dropped and landed one on top of the other, first Max, than Isabella with Crystal and Axel on top, creating a human sandwich.

Once they all managed to free themselves they looked around, taking in the surroundings of the place they had appeared in. All four of them wore the same expression on their faces. Disgust.

They had some how appeared in an even dirtier alley than the one in Fantastasia. There was garbage littering the pavinvg stones everywhere, the walls decorated with graffiti and oh, the worst thing. The air. It was absolutely unpleasant. It had a weird smell to it and was also feeling thick and suffocating, so unlike the air in Fantastacia.

"We need to get out of here, and quickly so we don't- " Max started but was cut off from talking by Crystal bringing her fingers to her lips and motioning for him not to carry on talking. All of them strained their ears to listen to what was going on, and then they heard the footsteps and voices approaching them, and it was becoming closer and louder with each second passing.

"Dude seriously you soooo lucky, like omg your parents are way to lenient with you" a girls voice came.

"Yeah I guess I am a little lucky," a boys voice came out now.

"A little?" The girls asked.

"What language are they talking?" Isabella whispered, looking very confused.

"Pretty sure it's English,the same as us," Max answered, he and the other two looking at Isabella weirdly.

"Yeah,but what was the word 'doood' and the others thing that was something like 'oh- emmm- jeeee' mean?" Isabella whispered back.

"Hmm . . . I don't know . . ." Axel trailed off from answering them as he looked up to see the boy and girl standing at the entrance of the alley and looking at them with dumbfounded expressions on their face.

The boy and girl looked around the age of 14 or 15 and both of them looked like complete opposites.

The girl had reddish-orangish hair and bright blue eyes, that were shining. She also seemed to have a mysterious yet magical aura radiating off her. Even the way she was dressed was cool! She had her hair tied up in two side braids, starting from the top of her head and coming down to just slightly over her shoulders. She wore a light blue hoody with ankle length baggy jeans and white and blue sporty tekkies. The entire way she carried herself showed that she didn't care what people think about her. Isabella was actually looking at the girl in shock, she had never ever seen a girl dressed this way, but it looked amazing and Isabella loved it.

Turning to look at the boy Isabella took in he's full appearance, he was wearing black jeans with a grey short sleeved shirt paired with an expensive looking leather jacket and designer looking shoes. And he seemed to be looking at them like he hated he's life and just wanted to get away from people.

The girl, suddenly much to everyone surprise burst out laughing, while everyone, including the boy she was with, looked at her as if she had lost her mind.

The boy suddenly have her a light smack across her cheek, "Aurah,are you OK?" He exclaimed while Isabella made a mental note that the girls name was Aurah.

"S-sorry, it just-" Aurah didn't get to finish her sentence because she burst into another fit of giggles that it had everyone laughing with her,for no apparent reason. And Isabella found it completely ridiculous, who just laughs madly with two complete and utter strangers? The citizens of Fantastasia, obviously!

Once they has all composed themselves --the girl -- Aurah opened her mouth to talk " Are you'll roleplaying?because to be honest the way you'll dressed is not normal,  " she said giving them another weird look.

Crystal opened her mouth to say no, but Isabella beat her to it "yes we were supposed to go to a book meet and dress as the characters but we kind of got lost, and now we don't know where we are," she said politely, while tucking a thin strand of her loose hair behind her ear, in a gesture that seemed shy and embarrassed.

"I guess that kinda makes sense, but how did you'll end up here? And why did you'll not take a bus or an uber or something?" She asked.

"What's an uberorbus?" Isabella asked, looking very confused.

Aurah and the boy – whose name they still didn't know –  looked at them like they were weird and both opened their mouths at the same time to say something, but Max cut them off, "is there any where that we would be able to stay at for the night?" He asked.

Aurah rolled her eyes "In a town where only rich people, old age homes, orphanage and mental asylums exist, you'd think they would have the foresight to build a hotel or at least a b&b, " she huffed.

"Uhh," Crystal spoke first after a second of silence as no one knew what to say about Aurah's outburst, "so a place we can stay?" She asked.

"Well there is a mansion that got abandoned a month ago?" The boy offered with a shrug, "and um by the way, my name is Austin," he added.

Axel nodded and pointed to everyone in turn "I'm Axel, this is Crystal, and that's Max and Isabella,".

Aurah gave them a smile " Come on! We'll take you'll to the weirdly creepy abandoned mansion,".

"Well, here we are, for some reason all the furniture is still in there and the door is unlocked, so make yourself at home," Austin told them with a shrug.

"Okay . . . " Max trailed off "thank you?" He said it more like a question than a statement.

"Byeee weirdo role player dudddesss," Aurah said, and skipped down the garden and out the gate while Austin followed her grumbling and walking line a normal person.

"Guess we going in then," Max said, walking up to the front door and when he was just about to open it, it flew open itself. 'weird'.

All four of them crowded through the doorway and examined the house but it was Isabella who let out a loud gasp first, as she turned into the living room.

Everyone followed her quickly and stood still immediately, seeing what she had gasped at.

There on a big piece of cardboard was the words scrawled out in red, 'Wherever you go we will find you princess'.
