Goodbye

*Amelia POV*

"So, New Orleans?" Damon says.

"Yeah, just need to find out about a few things" I said.

"How long you staying there?" Stefan asks.

"Not long. Maybe a week or two" I said closing the trunk to my car.

"Well I'd never thought I would be the one saying goodbye" I sighed looking at both Damon and Stefan.

"Yeah" Stefan chuckles.

"Well I guess this is goodbye" Damon said.

"You act like I'm gonna be gone forever. Its only a week" I said to Damon.

"Still"

"Well, I gotta get on the road now. Call you when I get there"

They both nod.

"Stay out of trouble, Damon" I smiled pointing to him.

"No promises" he said raising his bottle. "Bye sis"

"Bye" I looked at both of them and got into my car and drove off.

*Stefan POV*
Later......

"She's the calmest desiccating vampire I've ever seen" Damon says referring to Elena in the chambers.

"I remember when you starved me down there for three days. I would've wept at your feet for an orange peel" he said.

"Look, she's not gonna beg for blood. Begging means desperation. Emotion. She's still in no-humanity zone" I said.

"How hungry does she have to be before we can torture some feelings back into her" he asks.

"A lot hungrier than she is now, apparently"

"So, what are we supposed to do in the meantime?"

"Maybe I can provide a little excitement" someone interrupted.

We looked back and it was Katherine.

"Katherine" I furrowed my eyebrows.

"The one and only" she smirks.
"Sort of"

"So, when's the welcome home party?" She said smiling.

"Wow. Look who went and got bold" Damon said.
"Last time I checked, Klaus was plotting your eternal demise"

"Well, it doesn't matter anymore, because Klaus is gone" she said pouring herself a drink.

"What do you mean 'he's gone'?" I said confused.

"Let's just say that your sister turned out to be just the thing we needed to get Klaus out of our lives for good" she said smirking.

"What did you do?" I hissed.
"I swear if anything happens to her, I will not hesitate to kill you" Damon said getting angry.

"Oh, don't worry, she's fine" she rolled her eyes.

"I'm sure Elijah will protect her just fine" she winks and then vamped off.

Me and Damon both looked at each other confused.

"Call her. Now" Damon said and left out the door.

I know it's a really really short chapter but it's the last chapter of this book but don't worry there's a sequel coming out soon.
