"Ha! You lose!" I playfully shout at Noah while sticking my tongue out at him.
We just finished and intense game of Jenga. Him, Morgan, and me.
"Oh whatever." He rolls his eyes at me.
"Seriously, Even without meaning to you guys are adorable." Morgan chimes in.
"She's the adorable one." Noah adds with a wink.
"You're so-"
As I'm about to complement him my phone stars ringing, I immediately answer it because the caller I.D. says Eric.
"Hey." I say
"Hey babe, sorry I was busy yesterday when you called."
"It's okay. I was just chillin with some friends."
"Speaking of friends, uh Connor texted me saying something about a guy named, Noah?"
"Oh. Yeah Noah. What about him?"
I glance at Noah, then Morgan.
"Connor said you've been flirting with him a lot."
"Why'd Connor say that?"
"I don't know but it better not be true."
"Yeah.. I've gotta go." I quickly say.
"Bye babe."
I click the 'End Phone Call' button on my phone.
"Well shit." I say while biting my lip.
"Anyways." Morgan says, trying to change the subject. " I think Mrs. Samuels said something about a hike happening soon?"
Noah nods his head, careful not to look at me.
The three of us awkwardly all leave the cabin and disperse. Noah heads over to his cabin while Morgan and I Start walking towards where Mrs. Samuels and a ton of other campers are standing.
On the way there I turn to Morgan, "On a scale of 1-10, how awkward was that?"
She laughs, "Oh honey that was a 100."
I sigh. "Great."
"I've got a plan." Morgan adds.
I nod my head and motion for her to continue.
"Let's form a hiking group with you, me, Noah, and Connor."
I nod my head again. "Good yet bad idea."
She too nods her head, "Is it a plan?"
"Yep. Let's go find the boys." I reply.
It doesn't take long to find them, Connor was standing 5 feet in front of us, while Noah appeared out of nowhere but didn't say anything. He still refused to look at me.
"Once you have a group of 4 you may start your exhibition." Mrs. Samuels says.
"What the fuck? Who still uses that word?" Morgan asks to anyone who's listening.
No one says a word. Instead the 4 of us look around at each other.
"Okay." I say. "Let's try to make this a not-so-awkward hike."
"Good idea Linds." Morgan replies.
The guys nod their heads, but don't say anything.
I roll my eyes at them and start walking.
2 minutes of silence pass.
3 Minutes.
"So." I say breaking it. " Connor have you met Noah yet?"
"Not officially." Connor replies.
"Noah that's Connor, Connor that's Noah." Morgan chimes in.
"Obviously." Noah adds.
This is getting nowhere, why is everybody acting so weird.
"Lindsey do you know where you're going?" Noah asks me.
To be honest I've just been walking, climbing, etc randomly, so no I don't, but I wasn't going to tell him that.
"I sure do." I say with fake confidence.
"Mmhmm" I can hear him say.
Another 5 minutes of silence passes.
Then it really dawns on me that I have no idea where to go. I'm lost.
"Does someone else want to lead?" I ask in a shy voice.
Connor steps up and stars leading us a totally different way. While he and Morgan start talking I trail behind with Noah.
"So why is there this awkward tension between us?" I eventually ask.
"Can we not talk about it here? Your little boy Connor might go and tell your boyfriend."
"Hey." I grab his arm. "I didn't know he knew, plus who cares?"
He scoffs, "I care! I don't wanna go behind his back and continue to flirt with you when you have a boyfriend. "
There he goes again with his kindness, he really is a true gentleman.
"I think I should break up with him.
"You can't break up with him because I said that!"
"No I'm not, it's just I feel different when I'm with you."
His eyebrows raise, "You do?"
But before I can answer him he nudges me aside.
"Where did they go?" He asks.
I turn to see that Morgan and Connor are nowhere to be seen.
"They must've kept going." I say before finishing what I was saying before.
"Anyways, yeah well can we make it not-so-awkward now?"

"Now that I know you are in love with me, yes."

"I am not!" I shriek then playfully punch his arm.

"Whatever you say," He starts walking and pulls my by my hand, "Come on I have a place I want to show you."

We walk for a few more minutes and we get to this part of the forest where there's not many trees. It's an open space with a few flowers scattered around.
