"no, i'm definitely not going out, wearing this." i shook my head as i tossed the outfit to my bed. i pulled out a shirt and a pair of pants which should be decent enough, and are much better than a hoodie and some basketball shorts.

i grabbed my leather jacket before hastily heading off. good thing the arcade was just near our place.

deciding that walking would not solve my problem of how to get there in two minutes, i ran.

ignoring the looks bystanders, i ran.

i huffed as i felt sweat on my face. finally, i reached the arcade after five minutes. it would've been much worse if i just walked. but it could be better if i walked because i looked like i just ran a marathon.

i pushed open the glass doors of the arcade, shocked to not see moonbyul there. "don't tell me, she's the one who's late." i let out a sigh of relief, wiping the sweat from my forehead as i stand in front of the air conditioner.

then the bell rang, indicating that someone entered the arcade. it was her, moonbyul. i stood up from the seat as i approached her, who was sweating and panting, an image that looked like me just minutes ago.

"i'm— pant- sorry, i had- pant- matters to attend- pant— to..." i then gently grabbed her arm, making her sit down on the chair i was sitting on a while ago. "take deep breathes." and she did so. i grabbed the water bottle on the table, unscrewing the cap before giving the bottle to her.

moonbyul whispered a small thank you before gulping down the water. i gotta admit, that was hot. i shook my head, what was i thinking? ugh, i'm getting out of hand again.

"are you okay now?" i asked, a wave of relief crashing over me as i see her nod. "yeah." she faintly smiled as she locked eyes with me. "i'm sorry about that. i... got into something and i'm really sorry about coming late."

i shook my head, smiling like an idiot. just seeing her makes me so happy, and i don't know why. "come on! let's play!" i grinned, as i grabbed her hand and pulled her through the arcade. settling down on the best one, the basketball machine.

"the one who gets a higher score gets a wish coupon and the loser will have to do anything the winner wants and the coupon can be valid anytime, anywhere." moonbyul proposes as she held her head high with a smirk on her face.

a sudden fire was lit in me as i found it very interesting. "oh, it's on."

"it's a deal?"

"deal."

we both inserted our coins, pressing the red button at the same time. when the five second timer ran out, i immediately grasp the nearest ball that was released. i threw it, not even bothering to look if it went in or not.

i took a quick glance at moonbyul, and she was doing better than me by three points. i growled under my breathe as i stepped up my game and got even more serious.

"just so you know, i won't lose." i smirked as i noticed that i was getting higher points. i heard a narcissistic laugh from my right side. "oh, you are going down, jihyun."

i then picked up my pace, more balls going inside the hoop. i smirked, knowing that i'll probably be the one winning the wish coupon. and before we knew it, the game ended.

"i'm probably the winn— what?!" i frowned as i looked back and forth from my score and to hers. we had a ten score gap. "yah! you cheated, didn't you?!" i looked at her as she just slyly smiled.

"you're just bitter because i won." i rolled my eyes. "no, i was intentionally losing so you could win." i heard her scoff as she crosses her arms. "as if."

she then held her palm out in front of me, making me groan. "fine." i pulled out a small piece of paper from my back pocket, writing down a small 'wish coupon' at the middle.

"here." i huffed as i shoved the paper on her hands as she smirked in satisfaction."thank you~" moonbyul cooed as she winked at me causing me to erupt into blushes.

"whatever." this time, she drags me to a shooting game. "no more bets please." i begged her as i leant on the machine. she nods, inserting the coins inside the machine. "let's just make the winner hit the loser." my eyes lit up at the idea so i properly stood up, taking the gun in my hands.

"what are you waiting for?!"

...

"finally! i won!" i grinned as i stuck a tongue out at her. she then laughed at my playful and childish actions before placing the gun back. i did the same before bringing up the nonexistent long sleeves of my shirt.

i brought my fingers up to her forehead, ready to flick the life outta her.

"you rea—"

"just get it over with."

"jeez, sorry."

i then flicked her, causing her to tumble backwards a little. "ow! how can one hit so hard?" she complains as she sat on the ground as she held her head. i then crouched to her level as she spaced out. i snicker at her being.

"by the way, what time is it?" i suddenly asked, bringing out my phone to check the time. "oh, it's one already." moonbyul's eyes widened, "what?!" she suddenly stood up and brought out her phone which had a bunch of missed calls.

"hey uhm, i'm really sorry, i can't treat you to lunch i have something coming up and i can't really miss it—" i held her shoulders as i gently pushed her out of the arcade. "then get going! explain later, okay?"

upon hearing me, she smiled before she run off, waving to me.

"i promise i'll treat you soon!"
