im a baby moomoo so like i don't quite know their personalities yet... SO PLEASE DON'T BASH ME IF IT'S OFF😭 pls tell me and i'll try to change it:("ok fuck, yena, today is my first day—" i panicked as i walked back and forth in the living room. yena sighs, "shut up, jihyun."
"what do i do again?" i stopped walking as i gripped a fistful of my hair. she shakes her head as she applies makeup on her face. "do you really fucking think a stylist would know what a manager does?"
i looked at her with death glare. "well yeah, you fucking work there." she shrugs, "you have a point." i rolled my eyes, leaning against the couch. "how long are you gonna take?" i sighed, getting bored each second.
she shook her head, "geez, so impatient." she snatches her purse from the counter and walks off to the front door. "finally!" i heaved.
<*>
"ms. lee, since you're new here, let me teach you the basics." the employee smiled, gesturing me to sit down on the chair. "shit no sher— jihyun, be nice, be nice, be nice." i whispered under my breathe as the employee stares at me with confusion.
"anyways," she sighed, standing up from her seat with a clipboard. "they're having a break right now so maybe they're not in the practice room but they practice for around 10AM to 2AM." i blinked a few times as she handed me a sheet that had their schedules. i blanked out.
"They practice for 16 hours?" i replied after counting the numbers on my fingers. she nodded. "they're still lucky with those though. other idols train for 18 hours. wait— i thought you know this thing already?" i shook my head.
"this is my first real job..." she sighs. "she has a LOT to learn." she mumbles under her breathe.
"just you know, you're in for a whole rollercoaster of your life." i blinked, not catching what she said. "there's a reason why they had multiple managers already." she shook her head, laughing. "well i mean, they're not ones with attitudes but they're really hard to deal with. you can't be nice to them all the time."
i was about to speak up again but shut my mouth up, knowing that i'll forget the information in my head if i do. i followed her steps and greeted the people when she does as well. "here's their practice room." we both stopped by a door to my left. "i guess a few of them are here." i furrowed my eyebrows, wondering how she knew they were in there when the door wasn't clear and so were the walls and it was soundproofed.
"how did you—" she smiles, "you just know. they have their presence." i spoke up, since i was curious. "how many are they?"
"you didn't kno— yeah of course you didn't." she laughs, making me laugh as well. "four. they're four." i raised my eyebrows, "it shouldn't be that hard, right?... four... just four.." i trailed off, staring at the door. by the time i step in there, everything starts.
"ready to meet them?" she smiles as i nod after putting on a determined face.
she opened the door and i could instantly hear the noise that was inside the room. but when they noticed that i was by the door, everything fell quiet.
"is she our new manager?!" one of them jumped up with a smile on her face. the girl next to her slowly stood up with a small smile. the employee nodded with a grin.
"i say—"
"do we have to?— it's just the two of us..." the other girl groaned as the other shakes her head and sighs.
"anyways, i'm wheein, nice to meet you manager-nim!" the bubbly girl bowed with a huge smile on her face.
"my name's hyejin... you must already know that but ok."
i kinda froze, since i DO NOT know that. i am a girl that knows NOTHING about the k-pop industry. that's when i realized that i signed up for this job, not knowing a single thing about it. the more crazier thing is that they accepted me even though there's that fact.
...is this job really that hard?...
they seem... cool though...
"oh, the other two members are buying food. you should come eat with us!" wheein beems, sitting on the couch, patting a space next to her. i looked at the employee as she nods, ushering me to go with them. she looks at me with a 'get to know them' look.
i smiled as i awkwardly walked over. i sat down as she started to talk endless to me. she started telling all these stories about their previous managers and that i was the prettiest out of them all. psh! i already knew that.
"you're actually our first female manager."
o-o-oh.
"oh, they're here!" hyejin smiles as she smells the air that was now filled with the scent of jajjangmyeon.
my mouth watered since it was my favorite. "jajjangmyeon?" i mumbled under my breathe as i looked to the door, looking forward to see who it was gonna be.
"we're back! dunununun! with food!" a high-pitched voice echoed in the room as she held up a plastic bag where the food was.
"where's your sidekick?" hyejin laughs, noticing the absence of the other member. "oh, she went to the restroom." she brings down her arm and walked towards us.
"who is she— oh! our new manager! hello manager-nim! i'm yongsun." she beems at me, extending her hand for a handshake. i accepted it with a smile.
"i say–!" "yah we're still not complete you know!" yongsun rolls her eyes. "fine."
"oh! she's here!" wheein smiled, standind up.
my eyes shifted to door to see who the last member was. my heart dropped and i felt time freeze.
"b-byul."
