【どうしようもないその我儘】
"Selfishness that can't be helped"
"My soldiers brought me a loose rat I see." Taejun gleamed as he forcedly pulls Kanna's face close to his. "I prefer to call myself a snake. They're much more charming in both appearance and intelligence-wise." She spat angrily. "Yet I see neither of those aspects in you." Taejun scoffed.
Though Kanna dashed in the opposite end of where Yona and Hak went, a few lingering soldiers were able to capture her. Which is why Kanna is held captive by two soldiers and Taejun right now. 'If only this body wasn't so fragile.' Even though Kanna was able to reincarnate at a young age, King II often sheltered and refrained Kanna from learning anything "indecent". This caused Kanna's body to be weak to the limbs, a burden for the body's owner.
"This is taking too long." Taejun was beginning to get impatient and it was obviously showing. "Is poor Taejun becoming fidgety?" Kanna taunted, making Taejun become more and more impatient from every taunt. He snapped.
The closer Taejun got, the more Kanna's body stiffened. "Did your empty brain finally start gathering ideas, Prince Kan Taejun?" Without hesitation, Taejun harshly grabbed a hold of Kanna's hair. "It did." As he signaled the soldiers to release Kanna, Taejun dragged Kanna by the hair to show her an amusing scene. He pulled out his sword and held it dangerously close to Kanna's neck.
"Even "The Lightening Beast" is son of a man." The scene Kanna was looking below her was of Hak slowly losing his strength. The more Hak continued to fight, the more his body started to break down. "You see the arrow that hit him was poison-tipped."
"What?!"
Kanna was starting to get anxious. Her mind was clouded with panic. Taejun was right, Hak is a human—not a dragon nor a being with powers, and to find out that poison entered his body made it worse. "Aim for him the next time he shows his back." Taejun ordered as his soldiers slowly aim their arrows at Hak.
Kanna gritted her teeth out of frustration. She can't get the sword away from her neck unless there was a distraction. There are two soldiers instead of one aiming at Hak. Even if Kanna was able to disarm Taejun and take out one of the soldiers, the other will still be able to aim at Hak. Kanna could take the risk and hope Hak would be able to dodge the arrow, but his movements have already slowed down because of the poison.
'What do I do what do I do what do I do' She felt useless, she felt powerless, she felt—like the past would renew itself. It felt like her mind was running in circles as the sight ahead of herself was not of Hak, but of the ruined castle from thousands of years ago. She saw the war that broke out because of her—because of her selfishness.
However, Kanna was wrong. The past won't and never will renew itself.
Like the dawn that silently struck, the girl with bright crimson hair appeared in the corner of their eyes. As she tackled one of the soldiers to his descend, her sudden appearance startled the other, making him release the arrow targeted at Hak. Yona's eyes widen in fear.
"HAK!"
As if Kanna broke out of a trance, she grabbed the hand that grasped the sword near her throat and without hesitation, turned to the side. Because Taejun was distracted from Yona's sudden appearance, it made it easier for Kanna to twist his arm to his back. Now it wasn't Kanna's turn to be held hostage anymore, it was Taejun's.

"HAK!"
Because the soldier was startled by Yona's sudden appearance, he lowered his bow as he released an arrow that barely grazed the side of Hak's leg. Yona wasn't planning to take another risk, making the decision to allow the last soldier near Taejun to join his other friend down the cliff. "PRINCESSES!" Hak yelled during the loud clanking of swords. When Yona looked to see an arrowless man below her, the princess could only sigh in relief.
"Release me!" The pressure from Kanna's armlock made Taejun fear for a broken arm. Yona turned around to face a disheveled Taejun, making the man tense. Yona didn't look like the princess he once knew. She looked as if a flame ignited within her—the face of rage.
"Princess Yona...I was hoping for the two of us to talk alone." The male showed a weak smile as he looked at Yona for approval. "Go help Hak, Kanna." Kanna didn't bother to reject before running with her new sword to help Hak.
"Speak." Yona demanded as the two faced each other. He continued. "I came here to get you. His Highness Suwon will ascend to the throne tomorrow morning." Placing a hand on his chest, Taejun looked at Yona with pitiful eyes. "My condolences, Princess Yona. It must have been painful to lose your father and get chased out of the castle." The more he spoke, the more Yona could feel herself getting angrier. "If you come with me and publicize this incident, you can force that hateful Suwon, who drove you out, from his throne and avenge your father! So please come with—"
"If you know that much, why did the Fire tribe put pressure on the Wind tribe?" Taejun started to stammer to answer her questions. "Why did you attack the merchants, why did you attack the people whom I love..." As if a lump formed in his throat, he couldn't speak nor move.
"IF YOU KNEW THE TRUTH, WHY DID YOU ATTACK THESE INNOCENT PEOPLE INSTEAD OF DOING MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THINGS!" Glaring at the pathetic man in front of her, she continued. "I may be a princess that knows nothing, but I have not fallen so low that I would lend an ear to someone without principles!" Yona yelled with a voice that was loud and clear, a voice with confidence and power...The voice which belonged to the reincarnation of King Hiryuu.
