•Cora•
Everything was buzzing and crazy in the dropship. We had lost around three people so far and more just kept pouring in.
Murphy had been feeling better and he was thankfully being very helpful about it. I had asked around about what he did and why everyone was so on edge about him. They all said that he was a phsycho killer and couldn't be trusted. Apparently he was hung, beat up then banished because he tried to kill a little girl.
I wasn't there so I didn't know what it was like for these people.
I could see that this guy was off, despite the extreme politeness he showed towards me. I think he could tell I was drawing up my own conclusion of him so he was being nice so that I would be there to defend him if anything happened.
Whatever, he was an outsider, just like me. Might aswell make a new friend right?
"I heard about what you did." I squated next to him and drained out the blood from my cloth by the water basin.
He glanced over at me with a raised eyebrow. "Oh yeah?" He let out a dry laugh. "Did you also hear about what a phsycho, mentally unstable, wreck I am?"
"Especially that." I shrugged. "But I wanna get to know you through my own experiences, not through the word of someone else."
A tiny crack of a smile formed on his bruised lips.
"Cora." I held my hand out. "Cora Carter."
He took my hand in his and shook. "John Murphy."
"So, John, if you were such a phsycho, mentally unstable, wreck before this, why be nice now?"
"Bygones." He stated simply.
"Hmph." I pursed my lips. "Simple as that is it?"
There was a commotion outside the drop ship causing me and Murphy to wander out curiously.
There were guns everywhere pointing at people coughing out splutters of blood.
"GET BACK." People were yelling.
"Hey! HEY!" I yelled. A lot louder than expected. But what can I say, in runs in the family.
They stopped and stared.
I waved the coughing girl towards me and got Murphy to take her in.
But the silence didn't last long.
Another three or four people began coughing or bleeding and the commotion fired up again.
Clarke came running out looking confused.
"They're out of control." I frowned.
"Stop! Hey!" She went running over to help the sick ones.
I looked around, head pounding not knowing what to do. I ran inside and grabbed a gun before diving back out again and pulling the trigger three times towards to sky.
I stared at the gun in disbelief.
"Wow..." I breathed with wide, excited eyes though the piercing ring it left in my ears was painful. Such a loud noise so close was dangerous to my hearing.
I looked back to the now silent crowd and starightened my posture. I jerked my head in the direction of the drop ship and the sick walked over quickly.
Clarke came up next to me and talked to the crowd.
"Look, we just have to wait for Octavia to come back with the cure and-" She started.
