"You think we lost them?" I panted, looking around the corner.

Maya laughed her adorable laugh and look back too.

"I actually don't think anyone was ever chasing us." She said with a quirky smile.

We laughed and caught our breath.

"Jasper!" Monty called, walking over at a fast pace. "Have you seen Clarke?"

"Uh... No." I shook my head, not really sure what was going on.

"Nobody has, haven't seen Cora either but she's always with that new friend of hers so we never see her anyways." He looked at Maya and gave her a stiff nod. "Hi."

"Hi." She said in return with a tiny smile and a shrug. "Um... you guys should-"

"No, we're uh... we're having breakfast." I said, not liking where the conversation would go if it were to continue.

We all looked from one another awkwardly.

"I'll uh, meet you in line." I gave her a warm smile.

She did her quirky little smile again that gave me butterflies and walked away.

"Look, I've got a bad feeling." Monty stepped in front of me to break my stare.

"I'd love to talk to you about Clarke any time in my entire life other than right now, okay?" I said trying to sound cheerful and stepped around him but he grabbed my arm and spun me around.

"Hey, what if she's in trouble." He said sounding paranoid.

"Trouble? It's Clarke. Whatever she's up to, I'm sure she can handle it."

I waited in line for breakfast with Maya and listened intently as she talked about the arts within the storage facility we were just in together. I spotted Monty sitting alone prodding at his waffles looking extremely glum, probably my fault.

"Hey, I think I better go check on Monty, I'll catch up with you later?"

She nodded with a polite smile and went to a table. I walked over and set my plate down in front of him. His head shot up with wide eyes but his expression went dark again when he saw that it was me.

"Nice to see you too." I said feeling slightly confused.

"Sorry, I was hoping you were Clarke." He said with a disappointed tone.

"Still haven't seen her?"

"No, haven't seen Cora either." He leaned forwards on the table and talked in a whisper. "I don't think either of them slept in their beds last night."

I sat down suddenly feeling a loss of appetite.

"What do we do?" He asked.

I glanced around the room thinking of something when my eyes landed on Maya.

"Maya has access to everything to her job, I don't know, maybe she snoop around..." We both looked over at her then back at each other. "If they're in trouble, she can find out."

"I don't know..." He frowned. "Clarke doesn't trust them, what if she's right."

I nodded, understanding where he was coming from.

"We can trust Maya." I looked over at her then thinking it over. "At least I think we can."

She looked up and noticed me staring, giving me a warm smile which I returned with a brief one before returning my attention to Monty.
