Suddenly I noticed my door wasn't locked. This could be my chance, I thought to myself before pulling the padlock off and pulling open the door.

I started running. I didn't know where though. I just ran. For the first time in the past few months, I felt free. Like nothing bad could happen.

Guns started firing behind me. I dived into the dense bush by the road. There, a hollow in the middle of a bush I sat and waited. I didn't know how long I waited. Eventually no more gun shots or movement could be heard. I crawled out of the bush and started walking. I stayed in the bush but made sure I could see the road.

I walked till I found myself on the doorstep of a small rundown inn. The world went black. And my last thoughts before I fainted were...

"I made it. I'm not home but I'm safe. I'm safe and away from the camp."
