5. The Sunday at malhotras

Nandini- Manik I am done with you. Why is that it's always me who should cook and do all the other job in the house. I am also working, even I feel tired. So I will take this as my rest day. You do whatever you want. I will do whatever I want. And for your information, I will not enter the kitchen. Neither will I clean the house, do the dishes or do laundry. You have to do all that. I will simply sit and enjoy

Saying so, she comfortably sat on the bed, switched on the TV and was watching her favourite TV show. Don't expect it to be some series or something like that. She was watching Tom and Jerry😂😂.
And her husband Manik was standing clueless not knowing what he must do.
To begin with, he did the cleaning part. He was already tired😂

And he sat for a moment but he heard her screaming for breakfast.
Manik totally forgot about it😂😂

Manik simply went to the kitchen and something heavenly caught his eye. It was nothing but the bread😂😂😂

He decided to do a simple bread toast and give her along with juice. He did it quickly and served her. She smiled seeing the little effort.

Nandini- did you eat anything.

Manik- noo... But I am hungry.

Nandini- then go first eat. I can eat all this by myself. There is no need for you to feed me. Go and have something.

Manik went to the kitchen but all that was left for him is burnt toast. He tried toasting many breads and gave the perfect ones to Nandini. All that was left was burnt ones😑

Having no other option, he ate it. He then proceeded with laundry. By the time he was done he felt as if the entire energy had been drained from his body.

He then went to prepare lunch. Having no knowledge about cooking except toast and Maggie, he looked at the kitchen as though seeing a massive library in front of him. Having no idea of what he must do, he decided to ask the queen of kitchen😁

Manik- Nandini what should I do for the lunch?!?

Nandini- food Manik 🤭

Manik- Nandini please tell me property

Nandini- Manik you don't understand me. It's F-O-O-D Manik.

Manik- girl just stop with that. I am already done for today.

Nandini- so soon Manik?!? Then who will prepare lunch, make evening snack ,tea and dinner?!?!?

Manik- ohh that much😨😨 fine atleast tell me something which is easy to make.

Nandini- Manik I thought of making biryani today and since it's your day, you can make it Manik. I have no objection. And for the dessert, I would like to have some gulab jamun. It's been a long time since I had it..

Manik- but I don't know how to make a biryani.

Nandini- Manik don't tell me that. As though you know cooking other food items🤭🤭

Manik- fine. I will make biryani. And then you will see my talent.

Nandini- cooking is very easy when said Manik but only when you do in real life, you will know🤭

Manik- whatever Nandini I will go and cook that food.

Nandini- Manik wait...

Manik-what Nandini ?!? You are finally convinced with my hardwork and you have decided to help me?!?

Nandini- what?!? I just called because it's not "that food" it's the biriyani Manik 😋😋😋

Manik was frustrated with her and went to the kitchen. He opened his YouTube and started looking for biriyani recipe. He took all the ingredients and finally made something like biriyani. Nandini came to the dining table. Manik's gulab jamun was extraordinary 😂😂😂

It was not even in the form and it was all struck to the sugar syrup making it took like a chocolate cake batter😂😂

Manik served biriyani to Nandini. She ate a spoon and that reaction on her face was extremely hilarious..

Nandini- Manik what is this??

Manik- Nandini biriyani.

Nandini- my dear you have cooked with so much difficulty, then why don't you have some?!?

Saying so, Nandini fed manik,. He simply spit out the food. And gave a "I don't know anything about this reaction"

Both ended up laughing together.

Nandini- okay Manik that biriyani was a failure, now bring your gulab jamun. It's easy right I even had a gulab jamun mix in the kitchen.

Manik was smiling awkwardly.

Nandini- go man I want to eat something sweet.

Manik came out with his "gulab jamun"

Nandini- Manik I thought gulab jamun was easy and so asked you to make it. But I never knew that you like baking. See you decided to make a chocolate cake for me. I love you for this Manik. But why didn't you bake it yet? I cannot eat the batter man.

Manik- it's not chocolate cake girl... Err.... Its the gulab jamun.

Nandini couldn't contain her laughter and was laughing the hell out of her. Soon Manik too joined...

Manik- Nandini I now accept how difficult it is for you to be a house wife and a working women. I couldn't even do it for a day. How do you actually cook and go to work everyday?

Nandini- Its not only me Manik. All women do that. We get used to it. Okay aren't you hungry?!?

Manik- I am actually starving.. but what to eat? That biriyani is not edible.

Nandini stood up and came with a bowl full of aloo paratha and panner butter masala.

Manik- what?!? When did this happen.

Nandini- I know Manik if I depend on you, we both will starve so I made it while you were doing laundry. And its okay Manik. You are Cooking for the first time and it happens. So don't worry. But all that matters was your effort. You cleaned the entire house and did the laundry for this week and you even made breakfast. So I have forgiven you. Now come let's eat.

Both were eating happily and nandini went to the kitchen for washing dishes. The moment she entered she shouted Maaaannnniiiikkkk . It didn't seem like her kitchen. It was as though a disaster striked that area.

Manik - Nandini just wait I will clear all those.

Saying so he quickly went to clean the kitchen. And she sat in the kitchen slab with a grumpy face ready to burst anytime at him😂.
