Nandini newly joined the company TES after graduating from her college. She got placed here with a recent package. Life had not been easy for her. She had to stay in a hostel. Since her parents are not from a metropolitan city, they want her to atleast live in one! Hence from her schooling, she was sent to a boarding school and no one was put in a hostel for her college studies. Nandini did her part well by studying well. Now she is sitting in a chair reliving her life and glad that she had a job which is paying decently. She can help her parents financially at least now.

Her thoughts were broken with someone shaking her.
"Huh" she pulled away from her thoughts.
"Sorry it's just that I had been calling you for the past 5 mins, you were completely lost" said her teammate Shriya who came to inform her about the fresher meeting.
"Thank you! " She exclaimed and left silently to the conference room.
She greeted all the other person waiting in the room along with her. She instantly clicked with Navya who came from other state .
All the hustlings went quiet as their team head entered. All the girls scanned him top to bottom but his eyes held confidence.

"Hello team! I am Manik Malhotra, your team head for this project. I will get to know each of you in the forecoming days. But let's have a quick intro of your names" says manik with not even a bit of arrogance.

His team was actually shocked because everyone expected their team head to be a psycho as they tell in novels , but here this man is something different. Manik quickly had a look at Nandini and felt instantly felt something in his heart. May be a little thrill seeing her. Though he wasn't familiar with that feeling, but still from the books and quotes he read, he knows that butterfly feeling when you meet someone special. He just smiled at this own thoughts. It's not even a day since he met that girl and is thinking about her.

Here Nandini too was in a deep thought. After the ending of the meeting, she quickly rushed to washroom.
"What was that nandu? How come you were soo lost in his eyes till navya shook you saying meeting is over. Oh god where am I struck. But I have never ever been this much attracted to someone. May be I am because he's not the villain in my office story but still that didn't feel like normal attraction. It was definitely not for his well build body. There was something deep inside me pulling me towards him. May be he's just opposite of what I expected from a team head may be that's why I am having a soft corner for him" she lied to herself about her feelings and went to work. She pulled out her diary to write the happenings of today. Even though everyone found it childish, she still wanted to write because she wanted to relive every memory of hers. That night, she received a dream of fusion of two large fire balls. Confused after waking up, she decided to stop seeing all the cosmic drama which she had been seeing since ages. She quickly took a bath and left to her office. Even though, the work was heavy as she had to continuously look at her computer, she still had her breaks talking to navya. She is really her stress burster.

After a while, during lunch break she went to canteen with Navya.
"Nandini are you sure you are not interested in our team head" navya shocked Nandini with her words which literally made her to spit her water.

"Navya what are you talking about, it's not even a day since I met him and you are already talking nonsense . For god's sake I don't even know him" navya smilingly nodded her head to Nandini but she just felt the connection between them.

After lunch, manik came to check on everyone's work. When he came to Nandini, she was just lost in his eyes. He too was lost but composed himself quickly. To gain her attention he placed his hands on her shoulder (nothing creepy). She broke off from her thoughts. Both noticed that spark that they felt on touching each other. Nandini quickly summarized her works and manik listened carefully. She released her breath that she didn't know that she was holding since long. That day winded up quickly and she went to take her bus. But to her fate, it started raining heavily. The meteorological department predicted for a warm day today and here it is raining cows and dogs. She cursed herself for not even carrying an umbrella. She hugged her dupatta tightly to avoid men's look. She decided to go back to her office since it was nearer. But she was startled when she heard a car honking. She just ignored and went quickly to her office parking lot. That car also reached there and the group of boys came near her hooting near her and trying to molest her. She was fighting continuously but couldn't actually do something because they were 4 in number. But still she tried. They were pushed harshly to the ground away from Nandini. She looked out to see her saviour. Who else can it be? Her soulmate! Manik!

Offo what are you thinking manik and soulmate.
He even though didn't want to do something inappropriate, he hugged her to ensure himself. He felt complete having her in his arms.

"Are you okay? " Manik asked her. She simply nodded still remaining in his arms. She felt safe. She felt home in his arms. She pulled out of their hug.

"Thank you soo much for saving me. I didn't know what will happen if you were not here" she thanked him but suddenly felt her wet clothes. Out of shy she couldn't meet him in his eyes. He realised her condition and pulled out his coat to her. She hugged her coat tightly and she was glad when manik offered her to drop her home. He also asked her to take a day off. She was in heaven seeing him understand her soo much.

Next day, she took a day off and went next day went to office. "Are you okay now?" said manik coming near her. "Yes " was the only reply.

Manik what's wrong of course she is alright why do you have to ask her. Manik thought mildly slapping his forehead. In order to clear his mind, he decided to clarify his thoughts, about the strange attraction. He felt it odd to talk to a girl about this but he remembered the saying *whatever you want to do, just do it now* and then called Nandini to a coffee in their lobby.

"Nandini I don't know if whatever I am saying is right or not. But I just want to tell you that I am feeling strongly attracted to you. It's just not your face or body, it's something deep. I don't know how to put in words but it's just too deep to even tell. I can feel it it's something deep pulling me to you. Yesterday , when I hugged you, I felt complete. And when I saw those bastards touching you, I felt extreme anger. I have never ever felt something like that ever. I am not even merely attracted to someone, hell I don't even look at people in that way. But with you, it was all different. I don't even know if it is appropriate to tell you all these but I just wanted to clarify my feelings" manik said shocking Nandini but still she felt contended it was mutual.

"I know I am rushing out, but atleast say something even if it's straight rejection, it's okay" manik said holding her hands.

"Manik will you judge me?" Said Nandini shocking manik.

"Of course not, just tell me" said manik ensuring Nandini

"I don't know why but still I something strong when it comes to us. I too have never been this much attracted to someone. It's just not the attraction, it's the constant pull towards you. When I was in your arms that day, I felt safe. I felt you will always be my saviour no matter what. I feel happy just seeing you. It's not the facial grin it's something deep from my heart. I really think I have found my soulmate" reveals Nandini surprising manik.

"I am happy that ours is mutual feel. So what next? I think it would be appropriate my parents ask for your hands for marriage" manik said but again said, "it's my way I don't want anyone to misunderstand us and create rumours about us. Even though marriage is not necessary for a soul connection, still live in a country wherein marriage is necessary for the union of two souls. If you feel everything's a bit rushed, we can go slow"

"Actually manik I was just thinking the same. Added that we are working in same place, we will become the topics of discussion any time soon. Let's talk to our parents and get engaged soon. Though I don't care about people, I still care about our reputation in workplace" Nandini assured him holding his hands.

They smiled in content and that's how two strangers became soulmates. For a soulmate connection, time doesn't matter. It's one day or one year, no difference, the pull is just too strong. Then she realised the meaning of her dream. The fusion of two fireballs symbolised the fusion of two souls.
