The baby shower

A few weeks were left and like we did every Wednesday morning, Hwayoung and I went for an ultrasound but this time we didn't receive good news.

Yuna: The baby is still breech and that can be troublesome when it comes to give birth. You can even need a C-section.

Hwayoung: Is there any other way?  I really don't want to get a C-section.

Yuna: You can get an ECV which means turning the baby when is still inside the womb. If by next week the baby doesn't turn you need to get the ECV. I am going to write down things you can do at home to help the baby turn head down.

When we arrived back home Hwayoung started doing some exercises. She looked as if she was doing yoga. She  was laying on the floor with her legs and feet bent on the ground.

Hwayoung: Jimin I need a hand. I can't get up!

I had to help Hwayoung get up and I ended up nearly falling on her. I went back to the agency as it was my last week of schedule. I couldn't wait to finally spent some time at home.  When I arrived back home I found Hwayoung trying to meditate but it was no use as she kept turning.

Hwayoung: Ugh this is not working! I tried everything! I haven't felt her moving all day! The only thing I haven't tried is music.

Jimin: Let me try to sing a lullaby maybe that will get her to turn.

I sang a lullaby and according to Hwayoung she felt her kicking. Maybe she did actually turn. 

While we were waiting for the appointment Hwayoung kept fidgeting the whole time.

Jimin: Hwayoung it's going to be fine!

Hwayoung: I really don't want to get an ECV Jimin!

When we entered in the room Hwayoung was so nervous that she didn't even notice what Yuna was saying.

Yuna: I'll tell what I just repeated after I see if you need an ECV. 

Jimin: Did she turn?

Yuna: You have nothing to be nervous about Hwayoung because the baby is head down!

Hwayoung: Thank God! Seems that your lullaby actually worked Jimin.

Jimin: What can I say, she loves to hear me sing.

The ultrasound was successful and everything went well in the end. Only a week was left till the little one was born. My schedule was finally finished and I was able to spend some time with Hwayoung. We decided to have the baby shower on the 10th of September; 6 days before she comes. It was a bit late to do the baby shower as she could be born any second but we wanted to do it once my schedule was over.

I decided to plan the baby shower myself as I wanted to surprise Hwayoung. I planned to do it at a venue where there was the view of the sea. The whole room was covered in pink. There were also pink balloons covered in glitter. The cake was a three tiered cake. The first one was pink and had flowers surrounding it. The second one was gold with a pink stroller on it. The third one was white and had gold and pink hearts on it.

There were also pink macaroons surrounding the cake. The name Baby Jennie written in golden calligraphy. When I told the members the name they immediately fell in love with it. I also made Taehyungie the Godfather. He was so surprised and honored by it that he ended up crying. I know that Taehyungie would be an amazing role model for the little one. 

When Hwayoung arrived she was awestruck by how the venue looked. She was wearing the purple dress she had bought and was wearing a pink flower crown on her head.

Hwayoung: Jimin you did all of this?! Wow this is so amazing!!

Jimin: Do you like it?

Hwayoung: Are you serious?! I love it!

The baby shower went pretty well. Hwayoung and I took some pictures on the balcony and I also ended up being the photographer for her. Some games took place during the baby shower. One of them was tasting different baby foods. All the members took part and Hoseok ended up nearly gagging from how bad it was. There were many other several games and Seokjin Hyung ended up winning in all of them. We all jokingly told him how he was going to have the next baby Bangtan after me.

Hwayoung and I cut the cake and on the inside the layers were all a different shade of pink. The cake was delicious. We decided to open the presents in front of everyone. We received various presents like baby clothes, toys including soft toys. Namjoon hyung gave us a blanket with her name on it. My parents gave us a gold bracelet with her name on it and a necklace with her birthstone. We were pleased and grateful with every present given to us. We also received an album so we could put photos of the little one's milestones.

After the party, the members were very kind to help us clean the place up . When we arrived home we ordered take away as Hwayoung was very hungry. We ate take away while watching our favorite series. Hwayoung began to doze off to sleep so we decided to go to sleep.

I kept tossing and turning without finding a comfortable position. I kept waking up to go to the toilet. I checked the time and it was three in the morning. All of a sudden I felt a gush of water on my side of the bed. I turned on the lamp on my bedside table and to my surprise my water broke. I tried to wake Jimin up but I had a hard time to do it, seemed that he was in a deep sleep. I had to put serendipity on his Bluetooth speaker to wake him up.

Jimin: What happened? Where am I?

Hwayoung: Jimin my water broke!!

Jimin: Am I still dreaming?

Hwayoung: No! Jimin we need to go to the hospital asap!

Jimin was still half asleep but also panicking at the same time that he ended up falling from the bed.
