It was Jennie's first birthday. It felt like yesterday that Hwayoung's water broke and we had to rush to the hospital. We decided to throw her a party to commemorate it. Although I did have work that day, I had from noon on wards off so it was perfect. In the afternoon we decided to have little photo shoot for Jennie. She wore a purple dress with a bow at the back with matching purple shoes and a purple bow to complete the look. She was also going to wear the dress for the party.

At first it was a bit hard to take the pictures. She started to cry for Hwayoung to hold her. Hwayoung tried telling her gently that she wasn't going anywhere but Jennie kept on crying. When she calmed down and Hwayoung put her down for the photos, she started crawling away. We had to put a teddy bear next to her so she stays put.

After half an hour trying to take the photos, we finally took them. Although it took a while to take the pictures, they came out pretty well. She looked so cute and she was actually smiling in some of them. These were all going in her photo album. We even decided to frame one and hang it on the wall in Jennie's nursery.

We headed to the venue a bit earlier so we'll be the first ones there. The venue looked absolutely amazing. The theme was under the sea. The walls were covered in blue and there were sea creatures on it including dolphins, whales, crabs and many different species of fish. The table had a blue tablecloth and there were muffins with blue icing, a cheese platter, sandwiches, dips and many more. The cake looked insane. It was a three tiered cake; just like the one we had for the baby shower. The bottom tier was wrinkled to have the form of waves. The second tier had starfish on it and had Jennie written on it. The last tier had a lot of pearls on it.

There was a a banner saying 'Happy birthday Jennie'. There were also party hats that Hwayoung and I decided to wear with Jennie to take a picture as a family. I couldn't be more content with the family I have and the fact that we were celebrating our daughter's first birthday.

The party was a small one as we invited close friends and family. The members all came bearing gifts for Jennie and every single one of them gathered around her to take a picture with her. The party was very enjoyable and the food was delicious. Jennie was not fussy at all unlike during the photo shoot. At the end of the party it was time to cut the cake. Jennie cut the cake with the help of Hwayoung and I. I made sure that icing made it's way on both Jennie and Hwayoung's face.

Hwayoung: Jimin stop it! You ruined my make up!

Jimin: There you look so much better!

Hwayoung decided to put some icing on my face as well to get back at me.

Hwayoung: There you look even better now. The icing looks good on you!

Jimin: Of course everything looks good on me!

Hwayoung: Wow are you Jimin or Seokjin?

Jimin: What can I say I have learned from the best!

After the party we cleared everything up and took all the presents home. We decided to get Jennie a rocking horse. It was a beautiful wooden horse that went perfectly with the nursery. Jennie also received a baby doll from my parents. She received various items of clothing as well as books. She had so many books to choose from. As soon as we arrived home Jennie instantly fell asleep. Senmed that the energy she had at the party seemed to have went away.

I decided to tuck her in bed that night. Usually she would be already asleep when I arrived home so Hwayoung tucked her in bed most of the time. As soon I put her in her crib she wrapped her little chubby hands around my second finger. That melted my heart. I turned her night lamp on and stars formed on the ceiling and on the walls. That was the gift that Hoseok Hyung got her.

When I went downstairs I found Hwayoung cleaning up the mess we left after we opened up all the presents. I helped her with the rest.

Hwayoung: Is Jennie sleeping soundly?

Jimin: She sure is! I didn't want to leave her. She wrapped her little hand around my finger she's so cute.

Hwayoung: She's very fond of you Jimin I can see that!

Jimin: Oh really? I try my best to be at home as much as possible but due to work I don't be here as much as I like. I thought she would be more attached to you than to me.

Hwayoung: She is attached to me but she is also attached to you Jimin. Every time she sees your photo or I say your name she immediately asks me where you are and if you will come back from work soon. She sometimes even stays near the front door so we could go and visit you. When I don't she ends up crying and that's why I face time you.

Jimin: I never thought she would be attached to me to this extent!

Hwayoung: Jimin I have told you she would love you even before she was born. I know how worried you are that you are not spending enough time with her and she will not grow close to you but you are completely wrong. As soon as you come home you play with her and spend time with her. Not a day has passed by in this past year that you haven't spend time with Jennie and that what makes you the best father to her.

Jimin: Hwayoung you really are the best fiance' I could ever ask for. I don't even tell you what's worrying me and you would know. I am actually relieved that Jennie is this close to me. I never expected her to be this fond of me.

That night I went to bed contently knowing that I am doing the best I can to be the best father to Jennie and that I am going to tie the knot with my soulmate in a few months.
