Sleepless nights

For the first few days neither Hwayoung nor I left Jennie's side. Every time she cried, either Hwayoung or I would rock her back and forth in the rocking chair. Hwayoung was getting up breastfeeding her through the night multiple times. I couldn't breastfeed her so it was useless for me to wake up. Hwayoung was tired and it was evident from the huge bags under her eyes. She even slept on the rocking chair while rocking Jennie to sleep.

I took it by myself to go and buy as breast pump so that I could wake up during the night and feed her. I also bought a special gift for Hwayoung. It was a necklace that had a pendant with Hwayoung's birthstone on it. I wanted to give her something special for bringing Jennie into the world. She went through so much during the whole pregnancy. 

Before I went home I decided to pop by the agency and see how the members were doing. When they saw me they were surprised as they weren't expecting me to visit them. 

Taehyung: Hyung what a nice surprise!

Namjoon: How have you been doing as a new father?

Jimin: I just came to see how you are all doing. It's so amazing being a dad although it is a bit tiring as all Jennie is doing is eating and sleeping. It's nice to spend time with family, it has been so long since I spent time with Hwayoung properly.

Seokjin: You're missing all the fun here Jimin-ah. It's been so quiet without you!

Jungkook:  It's still loud with Hoseok Hyung here.

Hoseok: Thank you Jungkook! You're such an amazing member!

Jungkook: I know right.

Jimin: What are you doing?

Yoongi: Just going over some choreography for the Halloween special. 

Namjoon: Jimin if you ever need someone to babysit Jennie in the future we would be happy to do it.

Jimin: Thank you guys I really appreciate it!

Hoseok: Jennie would love her favorite uncle Hoseok to babysit her.

I talked to them for a bit until I went home to my beautiful fiance' and my little princess. When I arrived, I found Hwayoung breast feeding Jennie on the bed. 

Hwayoung: You're back. Where did you go?

Jimin: I went to the mall to shop for some bits and pieces and also swung by the agency. Look what I just bought.

Hwayoung: A breast feeding pump. I was actually thinking on buying one!

Jimin: I can wake up during the night when the little one is hungry and I can give her a bottle. You don't need to wake up all of the time. 

Hwayoung: Jimin that's so thoughtful! I truly have the best fiance'.

Jimin: I also bought you a little something. 

I opened up the box and when Hwayoung saw the necklace, she was taken aback.

Hwayoung: Wow that such a beautiful necklace! It even has my birthstone! Thank you so much. 

Jimin: You went through so much during the pregnancy and had to endure so much pain in order to bring our daughter into the world. I wanted to give you something.

That night we ended up staying in bed just watching television. I woke up through the night when Jennie was crying. Hwayoung had a peaceful sleep and that made me content. The next day I decided to make Hwayoung breakfast in bed. I made pancakes, some toast and a cup of coffee. For once the pancakes came out perfect. The usually ended up burnt them but not this time. While Hwayoung was eating her breakfast I changed Jennie's diaper and fed her. Even though she sleeps in the nursery, she spends most of the time in the crib next to Hwayoung and I's bed.

Hwayoung: Look how cute she is when she is sleeping. After we feed her she instantly goes to sleep. When are we going to reveal her name?

Jimin: I was thinking of doing a live stream in the studio that I have here. Update them fans and reveal her name. 

Hwayoung: I think that's a good idea. 

That afternoon while Jennie was sleeping and Hwayoung was cooking dinner, I decided to go into the studio and do a live. I sometimes worked from the studio at home especially when I needed to record my vocals. I was going to use the studio more often especially when Jennie is a bit older. I could be able to spend time with her and also work from home. As soon as I turned the live stream, many ARMYs tuned in. Many were asking the same question; what was my daughter's name. 

Jimin: Hey ARMY. I know I am on a break right now but I wanted to update you on what has been happening and yes I am going to reveal the name of my daughter. I am taking a break until Halloween so that I spend some time with my family and my newborn daughter. I miss you guys, I miss interacting with you. I also have been visiting the members sometimes to see what they are up too. So four days ago, Hwayoung's water broke in the middle of the night. It was six days before the due date so we were a bit surprised when her water broke. The labor was intense and it took about 12 hours from three in the morning till three in the afternoon. The little one was born on the 11th of September at 3:14 pm. And that is when I became a father. As soon as I held her in my arms I was filled with so much joy. You are so eager to know her name ARMY. Ok I won't let you wait any longer. Her name is Jennie. Park Jennie. 

As soon as I said her name, every comment I saw said how beautiful the name was.

Jimin: I know how much you want to see my daughter but at the moment she is sleeping and I don't want to wake her up.  Maybe you'll see her in a concert one day or in a video. 

All of a sudden I hear crying, she must have woken up from her nap.

Jimin: Sorry for the muffled crying but seems that the little one just woke up. You guys are asking who's the Godfather and I chose one of the members.

 Everyone kept guessing who the Godfather was and many thought it was either Jungkook or Taehyung. 

Jimin: The Godfather is Taehyungie. I know all the members will be good Godparents but Taehyungie was chosen as he is the same age as me and we even went to school together. I had already chosen my best man for the wedding but that's a secret and it's not Taehyungie.

All of a sudden I saw a comment saying 'How long is the live going to last? I miss you'. Hwayoung must have been watching the live as well.

Jimin: Hwayoung seems to be watching the live. I'll be finishing pretty soon and I'll come up ok. 

I spent 20 more minute doing the live stream and I was glad by how much positive feedback I received about the little one's name. I truly had the best fans in the world. As soon as I ended the live stream, I found Hwayoung sleeping with Jennie next to her in her crib. I was so lucky that I had those two girls in my life.
