I sat in between Ell and Matilda as we talked about anything and everything, as the physics teacher talked about stuff we'll be doing today. "Guys, Matt hasn't asked me to homecoming yet, and it's in a week!" Matilda pouted and crossed her arms a crossed her chest.

Me and Ell laughed at her behavior, as she glared at us"Whats so funny?" Ell shook her head"It's in two weeks, not one"

"But I still need to schedule my hair, and nail appointments, get the newest makeup, get new heals, and go dress shopping with you girls! So much to do, so little time..."

I rolled my eyes and shook my head"Matilda, it will be okay, trust me when I say, you'll look pretty either way" Matilda sent a smile my way but shook her head right after"(Y/n), I need to look out right amazing for this homecoming, and I need to one up Marty."

I laughed a bit as Ell just rolled her eyes"So, Ell, has Edd asked you to Homecoming yet?" I asked her, a blush rose to her cheeks as she shook her head, a smile gracing her lips."no, not yet, how about you? Has Tord asked you yet?"

I shook my head and stuck my hands in my pockets"Why would he ask me? Besides I already told him I'm not going, it's just not my thing." I shrugged my shoulders and looked off to the side. "Your not going?!" Matilda practically screamed, as she shot out of her seat, grabbing the whole classes attention, as a bunch of heads shot over to the three of us.

"Ms.Hale"

Matilda looked over to the teacher, as her face went from shocked, to embarrassed. She slowly sat back down, the teachers glare staying on Matilda till she fully sat down. The teacher cleared her throat and continued"Now, as I was saying, we will be working on a project. I will be assigning the partners for you"

I started to ignore her as she announced everyone's partner, until she reached my name"...(Y/n) and Todd, James and Kyle.." I raised a brow at the teacher.

'Who the hell is Todd?'

Once she was done announcing the partners I wrested my head in one of my hands as I watched her continued"I want you and your partner to get together now and discuss the project" Matilda handed me two papers as I passed one to Ell, it was the rubric for the project.

Matilda and Ell both sat there for a few seconds reading there papers as people started to get up I asked them"Wait, guys. Who's Todd?" They both looked over to me and giggled as a flustered brunette haired boy made his way over to me. Ell put an arm around me as the boy fixed his glasses and his button up red shirt with a 'T' on it.

"That my friend, is Todd."

I stared at the guy for a bit as he finally stopped in front of me. He wasn't to bad looking, but I had my eyes on someone else.

Ell and Matilda were quick to get up, but before Matilda left she was quick to whisper in my ear"Looks like Tord has some competition" a blush rose to my cheeks as she sent me a wink I glared at her and stood up out of my seat ready to punch her. (Jokingly of course)

"Hey, uh, was I interrupting something?"

Matilda and Ell had giant grins on there faces as they both left. I just rolled my eyes at them and looked over to Todd who had a slight smile on his face, I sent him a smile back and chuckled as I responded to him"Not really, my friends are just being annoying."

He nodded his head while rubbing the back of his neck"I know that feeling..." I cleared my throat and sat back down in my seat. I picked up the paper in front of me, reading the project"So we have to research stuff about how the solar system was formed and creat a presentation about it." Todd now sat next to me as he responded with"Well that sounds easy enough"

I nodded my head in agreement"wasn't it formed by the Big Bang or some shit?" He pushes up his glasses as he started to explain"Well we don't know for sure, scientists actually think that the solar system was formed when a cloud of dust was disturbed from a nearby star going super nova." I stared at him with a slight smile on my face as he had a big smile on his face.

Todd looked back over to me as his smile dropped, a blush growing on his face"Um.." he cleared his throat"You know, it's just something I've heard, around...." I nudged him a bit"Well look at you Mr.Smartypants. You must really like this stuff."

He shrugged a bit, a small smile appeared on his face"Well, ya. It's my passion."a small sigh escaped his lips as I grabbed my notebook and took out a pencil. "Tell you what..." he watched me flip to a blank page as I wrote down The Solar System and drew a line under it.

"You tell me everything you know about the solar system, I'll write it down, and any other information, we can always look up"

"Alright, sounds like a plan"

Almost a half an hour later, I had about a page filled with notes on the solar system, from how it was formed to the information about each planet. He ended up grabbing his bag and sat next to me as we started to talk about random stuff and got off track.

We sat there laughing as the bell suddenly rung, everyone was quick to race out of class as I packed up my stuff Todd asked"Hey, uh, do you maybe want to walk to lunch together?" I looked back at him as I threw my bag over my shoulder, sliding my arm through the other strap "oh, well my friend usually waits for me and I walk to lunch with him"

"Oh."

"But you can join us if you want"

He shook his head and stuck his hands out in front of him"Oh, no, that's fine. I don't want to intrude" I laughed a bit and shook my head"It's fine, your really not gonna be a bother so you can join us if you want."

He looked back at something and I followed his gaze over to Mark who had his arms crossed and seemed to be waiting for him. Mark stared at Todd with a look that said"hurry up" as his arms were crossed across his chest, tapping his foot impatiently, he looked down at his watch.

Todd turned back around to face me as he reached a hand up to rub the back of his neck"Uh, actually, I cant. I know I'm the one that suggested walking to lunch together, but Mark is gonna kill me. Maybe I could join you guys some other time"

I shook my head a bit and sent him a smile"Don't worry about it, I think it's best if you walked with Mark anyway." I shrugged my shoulders "My friend doesn't really take kindly to people from Edwardo's group"

He nodded his head and waved "Well I'll see ya around" as he walked off I smiled at him and responded with a "Yeah, see ya" I was quick to walk out the door, Tord stood there outside the door, leaning against the frame.

"What took you so long?"
