Guardioni was surprised when a messenger arrived.

"Are the three of them in danger?" asked Guardioni, almost exasperated. Mithraos and Eloy are his children of heart even though he has always given them the respect worthy of royals. He was growing to care about Adharva too.

"No, Minister. The Emperors and High King are in Karivaayi palace. They have sent me to reach with the letter. Emperor Mithraos said you would know," said the messenger.

Guardioni felt his body freeze. He sighed. Probably it was time. What if they found Eloy's family?

----------------

It was night in Karivaayi. Eloy refused
to see any of them. They understood and that was fine. Eloy laid on Adharva's chest. Mithraos was on Adharva's other side, his hand slowly running through Eloy's head.

"I feel so pathetic. Am I this much of a coward?" asked Eloy.

"Eloy, it's not cowardice. It is called self preservation. You are trying to spare yourself the pain. There is nothing wrong with that," said Adharva.

Mithraos nodded. "I second that," said Mithraos with a small smile. Eloy looked at them both.

"Did I hear that right? You both agreeing on something? Do the pigs fly now?" teased Eloy.

The emperors gave him a look and then looked at each other. Eloy would forever remember that moment. It was so beautiful when they looked at each other and then back at him, their heads pressed together.

"We agree on a lot of things," said Mithraos.

Eloy laughed and he pulled Mithra close. Both of them were on top of Adharva in a tangle. Adharva huffed but extended his hand and lowered the light.

Shikhar looked at Rishi's work room in exasperation. Everything was strewn across. He arranged it and was closing down the curtains when he felt the man's presence. Rishi stepped in. He wrapped his arms around Shikhar who turned a small smile on his face.

"How did the meeting go?" asked Shikhar.

"As well as you can expect. Now, I was looking forward to this promise you made me," said Rishi.

Shikhar pinched him. Rishi laughed as he bent down and picked up Shikhar who flushed.

"Put me down," said Shikhar.

"Not yet," smirked Rishi as they got out into the corridor.

They passed many maids who were laughing and blushing, keeping their face down. Shikhar couldn't believe this. He pinched Rishi again.

"You did that on purpose. How will I even look at their face now?" whined Shikhar.

"Like you always do," smirked Rishi as he laid Shikhar on their bed.

"You are insatiable," he said pulling his man close.

"Well, that's what you do to me," said Rishi, his voice muffled as he was soon lost in Shikhar's body and soul.

Next morning, they were having tea when a messenger arrived. Rishi read through the mail.

"We must leave now. They need us," said Rishi. Shikhar nodded. He went on to inform Samarth and Dhruv who were also ready in an hour's time. The family left for Karivaayi in the evening.

In Karivaayi, Eloy was roaming the corridors when he saw Prince Ekalavya. He was standing near the area where emperors do when they watch the land. Eloy closed his eyes for a moment and took a deep breath and let it out. With newfound determination he walked over.
