this book is coming close to an end as i want the next book to tie into christmas ANDDD i'm really excited for the next 2 chapters, so would you want them published this weekend? or wait until next tuesday and thursday?

Lily

Christmas is coming up.

And I'm nowhere near close to being able to tell Gunner.

Luckily Layla is kind enough to keep the secret and not tell anyone. which is a hard thing to keep in from someone, but she's doing it.

But I'm miserable.

My hands hold my stomach. "Big that doesn't mean I don't love you! You have my heart already, little one! I'm positive you'll have daddy's too"

Just...

A matter of time telling him.

"Wanna race with the girls on our shoulders?!" Eddie pants after his race with Gunner, in which Eddie lost in. "I'm sure to beat you at that!"

"Highly doubt it, buddy" Gunner walks to me and Eddie walks to Layla.

I gulp and Layla tries to form words. "Well Lily and I were gonna have our picnic. And we're not up to falling on on asses" she saves me and wraps our arms together, jogging to the picnic table. "I just saved your ASS!"

"Thanks, Layla" I catch my breath. "I don't know what I'd do without you"

"I still can't believe you haven't told him!!" she groans.

"I'm taking my time, just give me a few days" I nervously play with my fingers.

"So, what are you hoping it is?" she takes out some waters.

I adjust my coat as the wind suddenly picks up. "I want a baby boy, but Gun was a girl"

"Aw! What would you name him or her?" she asks.

"Hugo if a boy and Aaliyah if a girl" I smile, growing excited about all the baby talk.

"Aww! I can't wait for my niece or nephew to be born!" she squeals and before I can speak-

"What?" Gunner walks over, laughing. "We all know Eddie didn't get a girl pregnant"

My eyes widen and Layla winks, getting up and leaving. "You guys can talk"

"What were you guys talking about?" he takes over the water Layla was drinking.

"Just future kids" I smile, taking his hands.

He chuckles. "You're up to something"

"What do you mean?" I tilt my head.

"There has been SO much baby talk recently. Who's pregnant?" he asks, jokingly, but I freeze and his face softens. "Lily?" he clenches his jaw and I look at him. "Y-you're pregnant?"

"Please don't be mad" I burst out crying and he stands up, immediately picking me up, hugging me.

"I love you, babe. I will never get mad at you and if you are pregnant, please don't be scared to tell me, please" he squeezes me. "Please tell me you're pregnant"

I look back. "You want me to be pregnant?"

"Well... yeah, I mean, after the little scandal with that bitch, it really excites me to have a kid"

"But isn't it too soon?"

"It's never too soon, babe" he kisses my forehead. "I will do everything in my will to care for you and this baby, I promise you that"

"I love you" I cry into his chest.

"I love you so much" he digs his head into the crook of my neck.

**

"You idiots" I huff.

"You put them up!" Eddie groans.

"If I want pregnant, gladly" I sit down. "Please just make it look nice"

"Okay miss perfect" Eddie says under his breath, making me laugh.

The stress of putting up Christmas lights is real.

A little too real.

The boys are frustrated that I'm frustrated, but I can't help it! I came from a perfect family where everything was all tidy and straight.

It's just... those feelings.

"Here ya go!" Layla smiles, handing me hot chocolate.

I smile widely, taking it from her. "Thank you!"

"Excited for Christmas next week?" she takes a sip of hers.

I nod. "Duh! I'm all ready! But the Christmas lights aren't"

"We just had a late start to the season" she winks and I bust out laughing. "I'm glad all is good with you and Gunner. You guys are definitely soulmates!"

"I don't think anything will get in the way of us" I smile, nodding.

"He's in love with you. You're in love with him. Nothing will go wrong, we know that" she chuckles.

"I know. Maybe a few arguments" I giggle. "But he really is the love of my life"

"I'm so glad you two found each other, he was really in a dark place"

"We all are at some point" I look at her.

"You found each other at the right time" she rubs my back. "And I'm so excited to have you as my future sister in law!"

"I'm excited too! I mean, not like we already don't act like sisters" I laugh and she laughs along.

I look back at the boys to see that they finally successfully put the tree lights up.

The ends of my lips curve up as I place my hand on my stomach.

Nothing can go wrong.
