Back at Terry Ives house

El and Becky we're talking about what El saw when she was in the void with her mother.

"So it kept playing the same image? Over and over, like a circle?" Becky asked El. El nodded. "She kept showing this.....room.....it had us both in it, along with...another girl" El said. "The rainbow room?" Becky asked her. El nodded. Becky was thinking on who the other girl could be. "You said there was another girl. What did she look like?" El couldn't find the right words to answer her. Just to say that the girl looked different. "Different from me..." El said. "I think this is why she wanted to talk....I think she wants me to find her."

Becky was looking through a filling cabinet, which had hundreds of envelopes in it. She dug around and pulled out a huge envelope. "When Terry was looking for you, she kept these files of other missing kids. Kids she thought were like you" She said, handing them it. El started looking through the envelope. "Anyone look familiar?" Becky asked. Just then, El pulled out a page. There was a picture of the exact girl El saw. She had French braids and dark skin. "Is that her?" Becky asked El. "Yes" El replied.

El spent the rest of the time trying to find the girl by going into the void. Eventually, after a long day, she finally found her.

El was looking for Becky, but saw her out on the porch on the phone with someone. El stayed quiet and saw her purse. She got in it and took the money from her wallet to get a bus ride to Chicago then ran. Becky heard this and ended the phone call. She called out for El and looked all over the house, but couldn't find her.

She was gone. She was going to find her sister. Number 8.

Later

El was on a bus going to Chicago, Illinois. El thought that the girl was likely there last time she checked. Question is, where in the city? The bus stopped near a bus stop in the city. El got out of the bus, looking around in amazement at the big city, with its skyscrapers and lights. She walked around the city to try and find the girl, while looking at all the scenery.

She went to the less populated spot of the city, seeing an alleyway filled with a bunch of suspicious looking people. El was a little scared to go in there, seeing as the people in there, didn't look very friendly. But she needed to do it in order to find her sister.

She started to walk down the alleyway, having the people in it stare at her as she walked. As El thought before, these people weren't exactly the friendliest. Taunting and scaring her as she walked through the alley. Some people told her off, while others just chuckled and laughed at her. She got out of there as fast as she could.

El then came across an abandoned warehouse. There was a back door, which she went through. Immediately she heard chuckling and chatter, not just from one person. She saw four people sitting around barrel with fire coming from the inside. Two of them were white, the other two were black. Two male and two female. The one white man even had a mohawk. They all looked pretty weird and shady. "Hello?" El called out.

The four strangers immediately shot up, looking in the kids direction. "What are you doing here? This isn't a playground" the one with the mohawk said, walking over towards the kid along with the others. "I'm looking for someone. A woman" El replied. "Well, whatever girl you're looking for, ain't here Shirley Temple. Now get out" The same man said. "I saw her, here" El continued. El reached in her bag. "Ah, take your hand out, slowly" the male African American said. El slowly took out the page that had the girls picture on it. The man with the mohawk took it.
