Lai (ライ)

Birthday: March 23

An energetic and a confident 14-years old boy with a spiky blue hair and bright sapphire eyes who is getting excited for playing the first Full Dive Virtual Reality Game in 2022. He shares the same age with Kirigaya Kazuto and Honda Koharu. During the beta test, they all first met in the Labyrinth of the first floor after he found Koharu who was cluelessly wandering around in it. In his past experience, he is advanced player on MMORPG genre. After 10,000 players (Including 700-800 of beta testers) are trapped in the game, he swears to Koharu that he'll protect her and they both promised to make it out alive together by beating the game. He also promised her that they will meet each other again in real life after the incident.

Koharu Honda (本多 小春)

Birthday: February 23

The lovable, pure and naive girl with straight, black hair and bright green eyes who starts playing SAO as her very first time ever in her life. She is overall a very pleasant person who is kind, caring, and thoughtful. She often puts others before herself and listens to others' problems without a second thought. When the death incident happens in the game where she trapped in and she thought that her fate is bound to be death, Lai denies it by bringing her under his care throughout the entire game. With his self-confident, courage and supportive personalities, she grows from being shy, scared, and uncertain, to a more confident fighter and an even more confident friend. Koharu also holds great care, affection and feelings for him since from their first meeting. Making a promise with him that they both will meet each other again in real life.
