You worked at a cafe in New York and started noticing a young girl.
Love can be an addictive drug. It makes people unknowingly do things they would never normally do.
For most, they would either accept their misdeed or deny and forget or live, Feigning ignorance.
[New York] [3rd person POV]
(Y/N) worked a man named Azis at a cheap cafe that you can get on nearly every corner on New York streets, and since it's a no brainer that most New Yorkers like coffee.
While the pay was poor, it was just enough to get by with rent and enough to put food at your table.
(Y/N) met many kinds of people enter through the door some more interesting than the others, like a nerd who always sat on the corning scrambling on the pages of his notebook and seemed to be always anxious to an old lady claiming to see aliens.
But one takes the cake in the form of a blond girl who always seemed to order at least four times a week.
Same order same person behind the register, (Y/N), As the young man soon to find out with the gossip of his co-workers that she would always loiter outside and would only come it soon as (Y/N) started his shift or would sometimes steal glances at (Y/N) working.
(Y/N) though she was just a regular who coincidentally would take her order at least one times a day, while the thought of someone admiring him the other thought is he doesn't know this person and chalk it up to one of those people who believe in 'love at first sight' or just generally a stalker.
But it doesn't change anything, you still need bills to pay, and if she makes the first move, you would just kindly turn her down and move on.
Even (Y/N) thinks he's being too harsh to the young girl, but he remembered he's tight on budget and has to focus on rent, college, and not starving. While asking help from his parents was on the table, he decided he wants to show them that he's dependent and can stand on his own.
"What it'll be, ma'am?" (Y/N) asked the young girl was looking at the menu above (Y/N). Complete unknown to (Y/N), the blonde girl was ogling at (Y/N)'s face memorizing every intricate detail.
"Ma'am?" (Y/N) asked again, soon taking the young girl's attention. "Excuse me, but are you staring at me?" (Y/N) questioned her, now feeling a bit uncomfortable.
realizing that she would soon be caught, trying to find a way out."I-I-I wasn't!" she stammered on her words, further embarrassing her self alongside her red cheeks. "I... Uh, a Caffe frappe." The girl quietly replied, looking to her side, trying avoiding further eye contact.
"K-Keep the change." She added, still avoiding eye contact, " Thanks." (Y/N) glanced at her then looked back down at the register, while she doesn't look much, she's a heavy tipper.
After waiting for her coffee, she sat at one of the tables and pulled out one of her comic books and continued with her business, observing (Y/N).
'Don't worry, my Peter, soon we'll be together,' She quietly said while glancing at her beloved.
This was Gwendolyne Poole and not Gwendoline Stacy, and she lived a normal life; no father got killed by a mysterious villain, but she yearned exciting for her mundane life. Still, nothing seemed to fill that hole in her heart.
That is until her father gifted her his old amazing fantasy comics and one character she soon took an interest in Peter Parker, a nerd who's life always been in a constant downfall filled with misery until he met Gwen Stacy, a girl whom Peter felt he could genuinely be happy with, a person whom Peter could depend on.
