I took the next day off, Mr. McConnor was pretty upset that I gave them such a last-minute notice, but I had other issues to worry about, so when he hung up the phone abruptly, I didn't let it bother me.I spent the day nursing my mom back to health. I sat by her bed, helped her eat and drink, and I washed her hair for her. To be honest, if I hadn't taken the day off, I was sure I'd do something that would get me fired, and I need the money from the job most of all.
I took Jordie to school in the morning and I greeted him outside of his school when he came bustling out at 3pm. It was so refreshing to finally get to pick him up from school since I'm usually busy at work. He was so excited that I was there waiting for him that he nearly knocked me over when he ran up and hugged me. His curls bounced with every step. We walked home together, hand in hand as he talked my ear off about how his day went. Once we got home, I helped him with homework while I cooked dinner for all of us. Mom was starting to feel slightly better, at least that's what she told us anyway. She told me she still felt extremely weak and lightheaded, but she was starting to get her mobility back from her bad day.
Because mom was starting to feel better and Jordie finished his homework, I decided to go out that night. This time to a different bar still bustling with businessmen looking to get laid.
I got ready with my usual look and transformed myself from Scar to Luxure flawlessly, the black wig sat snug on top of my head. I packed my bag with my usual items: sneakers, knife, super baggy shirt. This time I wore a tight dress with a deep V plunge for the neckline. I added a long thin silver necklace with a ruby teardrop jewel on the end. I finished the look off with red stilettos and matching lips.
I headed out of my bedroom and leaned in to Jordie and Mom's room to see what they were up to.
"No mama! Your character can't fly and teleport at the same time!" I heard mom laughing, but Jordie sounded actually frustrated. They must have been playing some kind of game that Jordie created. He loves creating his own games. I smiled to myself as I headed out of the door. I don't want Jordie seeing me dressed as Lux, he would be so confused and I'm not about to explain to him why I play dress up and go to bars by myself. Nope. Not happening.
I hopped in a cab and told him the address. This time there was no talking, no staring, and no questions. I relaxed into the seat.
The cab driver pulled up out front of the bar, I paid him, thanked him, and shut the door.
I walked into the bar and sat at a table in the far right corner of the room. I scoped out the room and the possible victims as my eyes landed on the perfect man. I went into action with luring him over to me and seducing him. When he paid for my drink, I saw exactly what I needed, a stack of cash tucked away in his wallet. I then proceeded to get him drunk while I only pretended to be as drunk as he was. This time around, he left his wallet on the seat accidentally when he got up to go to the bathroom.Making sure no one was watching, I pulled out a single $100 bill and put his wallet back where it was.
I slipped the bill in my bra and made sure it was secure and wouldn't fall out. The man, I never even learned his name, stumbled back to the booth. He basically fell into his seat before he leaned over and slid his hand up my inner thigh.
"Why don't we go to my place baby girl." He drunkenly mumbled in my ear. I rolled my eyes. No way in hell was I going anywhere with him, I already got what I needed. I kindly declined with a big smile plastered on my face so he wouldn't get angry. The drunken men I typically deal with get absolutely furious if I decline any of their advances. Pigs. All of them.
"Sorry baby, I can't. I'm gonna to go to the bathroom, I'll be right back." I said as I moved his hand off my leg and slid out of the booth we were sitting in. I beelined straight for the bathrooms that were tucked away in a dark hall far away from the booth we were sitting at.
