Chapter 4: The Setup

Summary: THE SETUP, Oliver and Felicity held in custody by Ultratech must talk about what happened to them and how they arrived in 2070, William during an stakeout discovers an shocking secret about UltraTech's involvement in a case William is investigating.

My name is Oliver Queen, after five years in hell I returned home with only one goal.

To save my city.

For the next six years I fought to keep my city safe.

But after a sudden turn of events  my wife Felicity Smoak and myself were frozen in ice for 53 years.

My home will never be the same as it once was but one thing remains the same.

But in order to protect my loved ones along with new surprises I must become someone else.

I must become SOMETHING else.

ULTRATECH

On a rainy night in Neo Star City the Ultratech building lit up along with the skyline overlooking the city. Outside the penthouse Felicity Smoak lied in a chair hearing the rainfall keeping dry but filled with tear stained eyes.

Inside the penthouse Oliver Queen sat in the shower saddened about everything that happened to him and Felicity. He felt the water but it didn't matter to him. Nor did anything else except for Felicity and the fallout from their space trip.

Felicity heard the blip flying toward the penthouse advertising travel packages to off world colonies and the upcoming Cyber Bowl to be in Neo Star City in a few weeks.

Everything that Felicity had ever seen or imagined in the books and movies she watched growing up was real and it was supposed to be the most incredible thing she had ever seen.

But something was different.

Though she and Oliver couldn't find out what it was.

Felicity got up from the lawn chair slowly dragging her feet inside the penthouse to bed stopping at the sight of Oliver sitting in the shower with his head in his legs.

She stood there for a moment looking at Oliver saddened as he felt the water run at him.

Felicity entered the shower sitting next to Oliver she put her head on his shoulder tears rolling down her eyes but it didn't matter to her.

She and Oliver thought they were alone in 2070 but they were wrong.

                                                ACT 1

                             DOWNTOWN NEO STAR CITY

"So to understand something about being a police officer is to protect and serve the public". William said to a rookie driving in his police cruiser in the streets of Neo Star City. "But let me give you some tips on how to do the job well and effectively" as William continued driving as the rookie sat shotgun from him.

"Always be on guard, make sure you use your skills effectively to arrest bad guys and monsters". William told the rookie as he nodded. "Most importantly, be good and do the right things". As William's cruiser left a tunnel into downtown.

The scanner lit up, "all units, all units a shootout in progress at a warehouse on Sierra and Polly Avenue suspects are armed and dangerous". A voice on the end said. William picked up the scanner saying "in the vensity we're on the way".

The siren on William's police car lit up "Ok, rookie first day and already into action". William said speeding to the shootout.

At a warehouse gunshots were heard as the street was full of police cruisers and of course Roxy's red motorcycle was parked a mile away.
