"Why is it that you grieve over the departure of your lover and expect Allah to bring them back while you did not even feel a drop of sadness when you left Him because of them?"
_______
Life had been tough and so was she, standing and protecting herself from all the alien harmful things. A month has passed by since the day she had left her home and sadness hadn't left her. The life was going on but she felt like her life had been halted from the breeze of happiness. They say life doesn't stop when a person exits from ones life but they never said that life never stops but happiness halts. She folded her hands thinking about her life when someone interrupted her thoughts.
"Whoo." Sidra pushed her forward and then caught her from falling.
"You scared me." gasped Rida.
"How are you anyways?" asked Sidra in between her laugh.
"Alhamdulillah. How about you?" asked Rida while sitting with her on the bed.
"As always. Good." she said giving a bright smile.
"So what's up with the update of your nikah?" asked Rida.
"The same. My future husband doesn't want to prepone the dates and all the others want it early including me. Also he rarely replies in the group. Sometimes I think he's not even interested in me." said Sidra.
"Stop thinking that way. Why would he say yes if he wasn't even interested? He must be ignoring the chats because one should avoid talking much even though a mahram is present. Like one shouldn't be attaching oneself too much. I mean you never know if he's even meant for you even though you guys are engaged. I read a story in which a father told his son that no matter who you're engaged to, you'll eventually get married to the one for whom you are destined to get married and not to the one whom you are engaged."
And as she said that, Rida gulped a lump of guilt. She had never ignored Rehan for the sake of Allah Infact she used to wait anxiously for his reply. She used to initiate chats just few days before their nikah. Today, he had left her all alone and the one she had disobeyed for him hadn't left her an inch. Today, when she does not have him, she feels incomplete but when she did not had Allah, did she really felt incomplete?
"And why is he delaying the nikah?" asked Sidra folding her hands snapping Rida out of her sore thoughts.
"Don't get me wrong but whatever happens, it is from the Khair of Allah. If he delays something, he delays for good so do not try to move ahead of time. It may be possible that the delay proves to be good for everyone involved in it. Just give him time if he needs. Remember not to force it since it's a life time commitment. Don't you remember mine? How fast the families agreed for each other and how fast I was tied to him and yet after an year I am standing all alone here. I don't know where we went wrong but I would definitely suggest you not to rush." said Rida as a pang left her chest. She had still not recovered from the incident that made her weak and as the days passed by, it made her weaker. She stood up from the bed and walked towards the window to make her breath normal.
"True. I don't understand how Rehan turned out when he loved you so much. I even heard that he got married to her so called cousin yesterday." and as she said that she heard a thud sound, turning towards the window side what she saw made her heart beat faster.
"Rida." she screamed.

"Abdullah is so afraid of Sidra's brother Ali that he talks rarely in the group." said Ayesha as the others joined her with their giggles.
"Appi stop exaggerating it." chided Abdullah as he massaged his brows.
"I am exaggerating? Last time when Ali called he handed over the mobile to Ahmad telling him to inform Ali that he wasn't there and ran away as soon as Ahmad answered the call. Tell them Ahmad. " said Ayesha as she folded her hands on her chest.
