"There has been just a single proposal for you so far during the month. The guy is a divorcee too and has a daughter. If you want I can give you the rest of the details as your father wants me to tell you and also convey you, to thoroughly think about it and pray istikhara..." Rida's mother informed her. Her mother had been waiting for the right time to talk to her about this topic and according to her, a month had passed and now it was the right time.
"I don't want to marry anyone now." Rida said shrugging off the topic as it held of no value in her life.
"Anyone? You need to marry again my love. Our life doesn't stop just because one person left. We should have good hopes from Allah for the future. It may be that Allah bestows you with more happiness than you may have dreamt. After every difficulty there is ease. Indeed after every difficulty there is ease." said the mother.
"Ammi I am happy as I am right now, I am happy having you and abbu and now I don't want to attach myself to anyone else."
"Rida, we are temporary in this world. We won't live along with you all your life. We'll leave one day and then all that you would be left with will be loneliness. We're deeply concerned about your happiness love." said the mother.
"Okay ammi. I need to get ready as Sidra would be coming in ten minutes and I have to go somewhere along with her. Can I?" Rida asked her mother's permission.
"Of course. But please think about it." said she and exited the room and after ten minutes entered Sidra.
"I don't feel like going but since you were so excited, I couldn't deny." said Rida while tying her niqab.
"Why don't you feel like going madam? I told you that its a surprise." Sidra investigated.
"I just don't feel like doing anything. I don't know if it's normal but I have lost all the happiness that comes from the pleasures of this world. It's like my someone has stabbed and killed my happiness." said Rida as she pulled out her shoes from the shoe rack.
"It's not at all normal girl. You need to stop isolating yourself from everyone. I am sure you'd love my surprise and feel happy." Sidra said happily as she opened the door and the two girls exited.
"But what is it?"
"Sabr darling."
The girls sat on the bike and the small journey began towards the surprise.
"Umm I've some good news." said Sidra.
"What?"
"They're planning my nikah to be held in between the next six months." Sidra said while being all excited.
"That's a great news. Alhamdulillah." Rida reacted.
"I am so excited for this. You need to help me in all the shoppings." Sidra exclaimed.
"Sure in sha Allah."
After being silent for a while Rida spoke "You know before you came, ammi told me about a proposal."
"Really?"
"Yeah. But I don't want to consider it. I will have hard time denying it." said Rida.
"Tell me the details about him."
"Umm he is a divorcee too and has a daughter. The only thing I know." Rida answered.
"You don't need to say yes. There will be more proposals in sha Allah."
