"Why do I have to wear the blindfold?" I whined once more when they itchy fabric rubbed against my cheekbones again. Christian had apparently thought that when I agreed to go on a date with him I had also agreed to go along with his surprise date plan that involved me wearing a blinfold. Not the best idea. Do you realise how irritating it is to lose you sense of sight? I have gained an entirely knew set of respect for blind people, they are absolute heroes. I could not do it.

"Yes you do have to wear the blindfold Jess because it's a surprise and without a blindfold that surprise would be ruined. Aren't you supposed to be smart?" Christian teased, laughing when I crossed my arms over my chest and slid lower in my seat. It was so easy to be around Chris. I guess that has become a bit of a foreign concept to me but I've found the load lightening. After sitting with Christian for a while now, I've opened up more. I can actually say something in the conversations he has with his friends without stuttering my heart out and I can actually look at people. I feel included and when Abigail started sitting with us, it only helped to put me at ease. In fact, she's going on a date with one of Christian's friends tomorrow.

"Ha ha ha. Funny. When did you develop a sense of humor?" I asked sarcastically with a smirk that turned into a grin and a squeak when Christian poked my side. I'm sure he would have tickled me if he hadn't have been driving.

"You only have such a smart mouth around me," Christian commented and I just shrugged in reply.

"I guess you're the person I feel the most comfortable with," I told him and coulf just imagine the heart-melting, blush-inducing, knee-weakening grin that had graced his lips. Only he was capable of making me sound that girly. Though all of my fangirling, nothing compared to the feeling I had for Christian.

"We're here my darling," Chris announced, swiping my blindfold off in a grand gesture that didn't help with the blush. Chris wasn't one for those pet names. he just never used them. It wasn't that he had something against them, he just never used them. He preferred names, even if they were nicknames like 'Jess'. Hearing him call me darling, well it just cause heart palpitations.

"No. Way." I peeled my eyes away from the sign to look at Christian and the proud grin he had on his face. A huge smile burst my cheeks and I threw my arms around his neck, loving how his arms just held onto my waist and pulled me closer instinctively. "You are amazing."

"I am pretty awesome."

"I cannot believe you even though to come here."

"Jess, you love it here. Did you really think I wouldn't remember your obsession with the zoo?" Christian asked and I leaned back so I could press a soft kiss to his lips.

"Thank you," I told him softly, my forehead resting against his and looking into his eyes, trying not to get overwhelmed by the underlying emotion in them. I gave his one more light kiss before I pulled away and hopped out of the car with him following closely behind me. "I love the zoo."

"I know," Christain laughed softly, wrapping an arm around me as we walked.

"You're so slow," I complained although the the laughter in my voice made it obvious that I was only messing with him. I held tighter to his hand, loving the butterflies that were pounding against my stomach, and dragged him behind me over to the grey wolves. Christian just laughed and tried not to look like an idiot being dragged around the zoo but I had warned him before, the zoo turns me into a excited five year old.

"These are my second favourite," I told him, my eyes darting all over the enclosure to get a glimpse of the animals. They were really one of the most awesome animals in here. Chris moved his hand so that his fingers were laced with mine but the simple action made me freeze and a blush crept up my neck. It's not that it was embarrassing or anything, it just felt different, in a good way. I snuck a glance at Chris out of the corner of my eye and as surprised when I saw him looking at me so I quickly darted my eyes back to the animals though by the blush still clear and the breathy laugh from Chris, I'm sure he saw me notice him.
