Evans POV

The storm will always hit again after the eye.

I wake up in the middle of the night on Connor's chest his phone going off non-stop on the floor I poke his cheek trying (but not trying) to wake him up. He doesn't move and I just lean over grabbing the phone off the floor seeing the abundance of missed messages from Larry, Zoe and Cynthia. Larry's being on the more aggressive side I turn his ringer to silent throwing the phone back onto the floor. I put the hood of his sweater back over my head and snuggle him. Which accidentally causes him to wake up. "Why're you up pretty boy?" He asks the sleep still hanging in his voice. I look up from his neck and sniff. I don't like the violence he has to deal with at his house. I scoot up and kiss him gently cupping his cheeks and enjoying the taste of apple cider lingering on his lips from presumably before he came here. "That doesn't answer my question but I liked the kiss." He kisses my nose causing me to giggle.

"Your phone was going off. Woke me up. It's oki." He holds my face and rolls onto his side so we're lying side by side and looking each other in the eye. "You taste like apple cider I like it,"

"You don't like apple cider though" He chuckles and wraps his arms around me holding me close.

"I think the baby does." I snuggle his chest. He chuckles again kissing the top of my head and traces his fingers down my back and sides. "You know what I could go for right now?"

"What?" He snorts looking me in the eye. His eyes are such a pretty chocolate brown colour.

"The sugar-coated apple cider doughnuts from the orchard," I answer smiling.

He snorts and chuckles, "But Evan *snort* You hate them." I turn red and nod hiding my face.

"Could we go get some?" I ask meekly into his chest.

"Evan it's the middle of the night we cant-" I sniff again snuggling into his chest.

"Oh okay. I guess," I have no idea why I'm crying. He holds m face and kisses my nose and cheeks.

"We can get some not as good ones from the 24 hour Walmart hows that sound Evy?" He picks me up.

"Okie.. you should get some pyjamas on though for when we get back you look uncomfortable." He grabs the pyjamas he normally keeps in my room and changes quickly picking me back up, bringing me downstairs and outside to his car. However, when he starts it and starts to drive a similar car pulls sideways in front of him stopping him from going forward. I tighten my grip on his hand and he kisses my knuckles knowing the person in the other car is looking right at us. You know I would tell you I was surprised seeing Larry Murphy come out of the other car but that would be a lie. He comes over to the driver's side window motioning for Connor to pull down the window which he does only slightly though.

"Connor what are you doing with her," Larry spits out.

The storm comes back angry and offended that it was ignored for a few hours while the eye passed over.

"Him. I'm with him to go get apple cider doughnuts from Walmart," He glares at Larry and squeezes my hand gently.

"I told you to come home hours ago Connor not stay with her." Larry glares back insinuating that Con needs to drop me off at home and go back to his house.

"I'm taking him to get his doughnuts." He puts his hand on my thigh as my hands get shaky and tears start to pool in my eyes.

"Come home now Connor. Take back your clothes and come home. Stop talking to her." Larry says looking Con in the eyes. Con's glare intensifies.

"No," Connor mumbles.

"What did you just say?" Larry asks anger causing him to spit out every word.

"I said No," Connor says louder.

"And Why's that?" Larry asks amusement in his voice now.

"I'm not leaving my pregnant boyfriend alone Larry," Connor says his voice full of spite Larry's eyes.

"I am going to be talking with your mother Connor." He gets back in his car and drives off letting us go to our destination. I'm still shaking and crying when we pull up to the Walmart parking lot. Connor parks his car and pulls me up into his lap. He holds me close to his chest and kisses my face and hands.

"I'm sorry Connie," I mumble kissing him gently.

"It's not your fault baby. Let's go get your doughnuts yeah?" He mumbles back holding me tightly to his chest.

"Okay" I sniff stifling down tears and sniffs. I smile and he holds me taking us both outta the car at the same time. Not putting me down he walks into the Walmart passing the exhausted workers going into the prepackaged pastries section. I notice the doughnuts and gasp pointing at the package all tears getting put away by the thoughts of doughnuts. "Connie Connie! Lookie!"

"What? Oh! There your doughnuts are," He smiles grabbing a couple packages starting the short walk to the only open cash register.

"Aren't you a little too old to be held on someones hip young man?" The cashier asks me.

"He enjoys it," I mumble anxiously hiding my face in Connor's neck as he pays for the doughnuts picking up the packages wishing the older women a nice rest of her night. When we get back to his car he places me into the passenger's seat buckling me than putting the doughnuts in my lap. He gets into his seat starting his car and driving off.

"How do you know I enjoy holding you," He smiles putting a hand on my thigh as he drives. I yawn and lean back into the cars seat.

"You're handsy and kinda overprotective," I put my hand over his closing my eyes slightly accidentally falling asleep.

-----

When I wake up again I'm on my side and my back is warm I feel the sun through the window. There are a couple of hands-on my stomach so I assume that Connors cuddling me. I feel like I'm going to throw up. I sit up and his arms drop to my hips and he whines. I climb over him and run into the bathroom throwing up anything that I've eaten in the last twelve hours. I calm down after a few minutes and start crying and holding my stomach. I walk into my bedroom and nudge Con. I sniff, "Connie," He wakes up slightly.

"What's up baby," He mumbles reaching for me.

"My stomach hurts a bunch," I whine crying more. He sits up and pulls me into his lap holding me to his chest and playing with my hair. He lays be down then gets up.

"Lemmi go get a bucket for you okay?" He asks and I nod sniffling into my pillows.

He comes back about five minutes later with a bucket a big cup of water and one of the doughnut packages from last night. He places the things on the ground next to the bed and climbs over me gently pressing his body against the back of mine. He puts a hand on my stomach and pays with my hair with the other. After cuddling for a few minutes Con's phone rings. He answers, "What's up mom?" He asks. He's close enough that I can hear Cynthia on the other side of the line.

"We need to talk Connor. It's important."
