Chapter 10

" She's still alive."

All of us stared at mum with huge eyes. I thought that dad wouldn't be surprised about this but he was astounded as well.

" How did you know, Flora? We haven't heard about her for a long time." Dad asked her looking confused.

" Maybe you're not, but I still keep in touch with her. I'm sorry for keeping it a secret, but she insisted that I should not tell anyone." She answered.

" Sh-she's still alive? Where is she, then? I really wanted to meet her. All this time I was desperate to find the answer and now I finally got to see her! " Andy said excitedly.

" I'm happy to help you, Andy. Do you want to meet her,maybe tomorrow?" Mum asked with a big smile.

" Of course, but why tomorrow?" He asked quite disappointed.

" Oh, honey. Both of you just need some rest. It's okay, you'll skip school tomorrow." I can't believe what my mother had just said. She never let us skip school even once!

" I'm not dreaming, am I? You are letting us skip school? " I asked just to make sure.

" Yes, or do you want me to change my mind? " She said lifting her eyebrows.

" No, of course not! Thank you, mum! "

She was staring at the old photo in the album with tears running down her cheeks. It was a photo of a happy married couple with their cute baby boy in his mother's hands. She always wondered how could this happy family ruined within seconds. Suddenly, She heard someone knocking at the door. While wiping her tears away, she went to the door to see the visitor. As soon as she opened the door, she let out a loud gasp.

" Well, hello love. Do you miss me?" The man said with a smirk plastered on his face.

" Y-you! How did you found me? Where is my son, you monster?!"

"Ouch! You hurt me. Is that how you treat your husband?" He replied with a fake tone.

"You are no husband of mine! I repeat,WHERE IS MY SON?!" She asked again but this time, she was full of rage.

" Calm down, Lory. By the way he is our son and he is the reason I came here. All along I knew your location. It just the matter of time that I will meet you once more and the time is now." He said somehow calmly. She even saw a spark in his eyes.

"Why do you even want to know about me? And it had been a long time since you called me that." She replied sadly.

" I still care about you." He whispered before his eyes turned dark and empty again. " Now as I told you before I came here because of your son. It turns out that he had a little friend who happens to be our old friends' daughter. He must be heading here right now." He said with a completely different tone. She furrowed her eyebrows confused with her once lovely husband's mood swing. She always knew something was wrong when he started acting like a prat several years ago but she never figured it out or maybe...it was 'that thing'.

"I don't know what had ever happened to you but I won't let you have him anymore!" She shouted and swiftly shot a laser at him through her eyes. Unfortunately, he dodged it like it was just a dodgeball.

" You know that you are no match to me, right?" He said trying to state the obvious. "Since you're the one who wants to play it hard,then." He continued and clicked his fingers. As he soon as he did that, all that she saw was darkness before falling unconscious.

"Well,well,well. Looks like you still can't defeat me." He said and disappeared from the house with her.
