Chapter 13 part 2

"Come on guys, don't you remember my ability?" William rolled his eyes. "Of course I had invented an invisibility device. Honestly Flora, I'm disappointed with you." He continued as his friends still gaping like a goldfish.

" Yeah, of course.That's great! Do you have a plan?" She said after gathering her thoughts back.

" Actually, I have..."

"Now Carter, do you remember the plan?"

" Yes. I'll put on this hat thingy on my head, turn it on, sneak behind that slimy old man's back so my power won't get absorbed and distract him. Am I right?" He recalled.

" Great, mate! You got it! And that's an invisibilitynator, actually."

"Yeah, Will. This thingy you invented." William just sighed and turned to the girls. All four of them were crouching under the table making plans while avoiding any attacks from either their peers or the villain who was happily absorbing powers.

" Alright, how about you two?"

" Well, we will use this rope you invented to tie him while Carter distract him. Easy peasy." Loria said confidently.

" I don't think it's that easy, Lory. But I believe in you, all of you and just so you know, that rope is no ordinary rope. It's made of a very strong material that ones you tied him, there's no way he can wriggle out."

" I hate to say this, Storm, but I envy your ability. Puff out some brilliant devices into thin air. Casually put them all in your pocket like it's no big deal. Like come on! I'm smarter than you. Why can't I have that ability." Flora muttered exasperated.

" Why, thanks, Forest. I'm touched...By the way I actually invented a shrinking device if you're wondering if I have extraordinary pockets." William replied smirking.

" Stop blabbering! Let's go and give that old man a surprise!" Carter said annoyed with his friends. He also couldn't believe at how oblivious the supposed headmaster of their discussions under the table.

Surprisingly, his friends listen to him for the first time and started putting on the invisibilitynator over their heads and turned it on. They were invisible except to each other.Carter nodded signalling that he was ready. They all watched in silence as he flew closer behind the villain's back waiting for their cue.

Carter silently pushed who he called the old man making him stumbled. "Who's there!" He shouted looking around like a mad man as he didn't see anyone behind him. He tried to absorb Carter's power but he was quick to fly himself away from him. How grateful he was for his superpower that he silently wished that maybe one day his children would have that ability too.

Once again Carter attacked him by kicking his back making him fell on his face. The hall was erupted by the booming laughter of the students there including Carter's. Unfortunately, the villain sensed his blaring laughter and took the chance. Carter, realizing his stupidity, tried to escaped but it was too late as he suddenly dropped to the ground and no longer hidden from anyone's sight. The invisiblit or whatever it's name, had came off and broke when it crashed to the floor.

"You aren't clever are you." The villain said smirking at the unconscious Carter clearly unprepared for what happened next.

A zap of laser suddenly hit the back of his head. Even though it was benign, it still burnt some of his hair. "What the-" Before he could even do anything, he was tied with a rope that he surely thought made of steel. He tried to take it off but it was useless because somehow it just became tighter the more he moved.

Flora and Lory went visible before high-fiving each other while William was crouching near his other friend who looked like his drained of energy not far away from them. Remembering their friends, they joined him checking on Carter who was still unconscious probably because of the fall. What they didn't realize was the villain had absorbed the power from the rope and managed to free himself. William being the observant one, noticed that and quickly stood in front of his friends before their powers would be absorbed. Loria's scream could be heard when he suddenly dropped unconscious but Flora knew better...
